Anyone have any ideas why this one calathea leaf might be leaning backwards? It only started doing it 3 days ago. The plant itself has really been thriving lately, it just produced 5 leaves and has 2 more coming. I water every 7-10 days when needed w filtered water. This has never happened before! Any ideas?

Dark slots and crispy tips have been appearing pretty quickly on my Thai Con. Root rot? I guess my soil is still not well draining enough. Thereās not as much orchid bark in there as Iād like. š„² That one dark spot on the stem is right on top of where the newest leaf was supposed so pop out. Life is insane right now, I have been neglecting my plant slightly.

I need some serious help. Iām a relative newbie to plants, but over the last 18 months Iāve been very successful and now have around 50 plants! All of a sudden, everything that has been thriving is now struggling or dead. Several pots have what looks like mild, but also appears webby if you look closely. Until a few weeks ago, I had every plant in straight potting soil (fox farms) but I wanted to put them all in plastic nursery pots so I could monitor root growth. When I repotted, I added perlite, orchid bark, hort. Charcoal, and some leca. In an attempt to create an airy mix Iāve somehow done the opposite (the leca is the perp, perhaps). Before I spend $100 on potting soil and repot everything again, can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I donāt think I overwater, but am I? Am I using too much fertilizer? Did I screw up with the repot soil mix? Iām not seeing evidence of pests (besides gnats). Please help. š

Help! My African milk tree isnāt doing well. I already removed one stalk because it turned black spotted and mushy. I carefully repotted what was left (and appeared healthy) and moved it to a room without a humidifier. Itās getting a lot of love from my grow lights and is not overwatered. I also treated with neem oil. But now thereās a black spot coming in on yet another stalk, near the base. (So far still firmā not mushy). Any ideas as to whatās wrong and how to treat?

Scindapsus/semihydro experts - pls help! So I decided to do a big chop on my scindapsus bc it just wasnāt growing/looking the way Iād like (rly small growth, leaf curling mainly at the top, some yellowing)- so my plan was to put the rooted part of the plant in semihydro (pon) & I cut a majority of the vines to propagate bc I just havenāt had luck w/ soil when it comes to these guys. However, upon further inspection of the root system Iām not sure if the rooted part of the plant is worth saving (also considering a lot of the roots just broke right off and look to be almost a light yellow color & not white). So 1. Is it worth trying to repot? 2. Does anyone actually know whatās wrong w/ the root systemā¦does this look like overwatering/underwateringā¦both?!š not sure if itās rot, bc the roots werenāt mushy, they actually mostly look super dry - despite a good watering schedule. I just donāt know what Iām doing wrong w/ this guy and I rly wanna master it!

What kind of bug is this and could it have come from my plant or did it end up there by mistakeš? I was spraying neem oil to help with fungus gnats and I look and see this bug in the sticky trapšš Any help is much appreciatedā thanks!

I think these are sunflower plants? I donāt know the seeds I got look like sunflowers but maybe not so large. So maybe these are mini/small sunflowers? Anyways it has been growing beautifully and fast since planted however now some of the leaves from the long stems have been wilting and even crunching into a ball and feeling crispy. How do I get water to those leaves? Do I need to cut some long stems? I donāt know whatās wrong šplease help

I saw these strange little bugs on my sweet potato vines. Google Lens says they are zelus longipes aka milkweed assassin bug. Google is giving me different responses on if they're good for the plant /garden or not. Thoughts?
