Help! This is an Alocasia Zebrina, I’ve had her for about a year now and all of her leaves are turning yellow all of the sudden. I haven’t changed the watering or light schedule. I live in MI and she’s been inside the entire time I’ve had her. I have never repotted her because the roots r still so tiny. Any ideas?? Is this what a natural dormancy looks like? Here are the before and after pictures (left before, right is now).

Can anyone give me advice on what to do about my caladium angel wings? She was lush when I first got her. She was originally further away from the window and deeper in my living room. She started to sag and the leaves all died one by one. And I moved her here and it still continued. I was keeping up with her watering schedule but nothing seemed to help. How can I save it now?

General post here but I’m hoping to help some people out! I’m noticing a lot of people having issues with plants asking for help and when zooming in on the pictures I see a lot of times there’s possible spider mites so I want to offer some advice! Alocasias (Polly’s especially) are massive spider mite magnets, but spider mites don’t always leave webbing on the leaves, sometimes they’re just clusters of white dots or even white dots spread around on the leaves. They will kill your leaves and eventually the plant if not taken care of. If you suspect spider mites shower the leaves, spray with a mix of water and Castile soap every few days for a couple of weeks. (I measure with my heart but Google can give you actual measurements). The Castile sap has the right balance of fats to kill the spider mites and it’s very gentle on leaves if you use the unscented versions. I treat my plant room once every week or two in order to stop them because my alocasias keep attracting them. I also prefer a continuous spray bottle because it has a much finer mist that’s easier to get every crevice with. Little side note: For more delicate plants like orchids my advice might not be suitable. Common and more rare house plants are what I have and use this treatment on. Monsteras, trandscantias, stromanthe trio stars, pepperomias, philos, pothos, jade tree, begonias, etc etc.

Hi! My plant had started dropping leaves and drooping. I was wondering if anyone knew if i was under or over watering her, or if there was something I could do to perk her up! Thanks!

Most of the leaves on my pothos are getting brown at the tips. Any reason why?

Can anyone tell me what’s going on with my Alocasia? I moved it away from a window once I saw this happening because I thought maybe it was the change of seasons here in NJ. It’s been so healthy and I haven’t changed anything with her care. I water when my water meter shows she’s dry and keep under a grow light. I add pant food when watering as well.

Can anyone help advise what does dark brown spot means on an umbrella tree? How do I cure this?

My Kalanchoe kewensis has developed these lines of discoloration along the leaves. They are on the surface only to begin with, but eventually, they will form a dip. Is this scale?

Hi I just found a trip on my monstera :( It’s currently at my office so any hard core treatment strategies would be nearly impossible… I’d only be able to spray the plant with pesticides basically…unless I were to try to take it back home where more can be done. Any recommendations? (I’d prefer not to chunk him but this will be my first time dealing with them 😭)

Does anybody know if these dried out patches will stop growth? I personally assume so because how is the water traveling from the roots through this part of the stem to get the end? It is still growing and looks great past this part. I have some of this silver inch propagating in water and they have the same thinning stem patch but have roots attached and new growth at the end. I’m wondering if I should keep trying to cut past it and prop it again or if it will continue to grow like this?

Short form survey lol: Grow Safe or Bonide Systemic? Granules vs powder vs spray? Asking for a friend. 🤔😊

Is it worthwhile to cross-post? I posted in the plants recovery room forum already, is it fair to say most everyone will see my cry for help there and I should post it too? I don't want to be a pest (see what I did there) but i also need as much help as I can get:) 💜

Hi, I have had this angel wing jasmine for over a year. It was doing very well but over the past 2 months it lost most of its leaves and I had to cut most of the stems as they were dry. I believe that it was initially an underwatering problem however, currently I’m having difficulty reviving yet and starting new growths. The soil is damp and it has been recently fertilized. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Help! My husband picked out this Begonia for me to rescue and I honestly don’t know what to do with it. I got rid of all the old dirt and repotted since there were lil critters in it before. Since then, I’ll touch a leaf and it immediately falls off for many of the stems. I just don’t know this plant very well and just need to know if the red tinged leaves are normal, if I should just propagate it, I don’t know. Kinda lost about it. I don’t know if it’s sick or just angry at me for repotting.

my stem tore halfway a while back. recently I noticed one side of the stem is turning yellow *below* where it ripped (but the side that didn’t break is still green and the leaf looks fine). Is this yellowing okay? Or should I be worrying?
