I just recently went on an extended vacation and left my plants in the care of my partner. I had just gotten my first ever begonia(Rex). It unfortunately didn’t make it until my return. I have many houseplant but I’ve just recently started to become interested in begonias and would like to replace my Rex and get more varieties. Any care advice? Google just gives the same answer for every kind of plant.

Hi! This is my crocodile fern. It’s been 7 months since I’ve had it in my care and the picture with my cat in it is what it used to look like. It was treated poorly outside of my care for a couple of months and I’m really just wondering what I can do for it. I’ve kept the droopy leaf propped up but I’m also thinking that the soil is too low. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does anybody have any advice for repotting House plants for the purpose of insect control . I tried neem oil, and fly traps first but it did not help. I am going to sprinkle in this house plant and set control too when I repot

My saga Palm is yellowing and I’ve read that it may be due to manganese sulfate deficiency in my soil, but reaching out to see if anyone else has used it and results?

I got this ripple jade a few days ago, and this is my first plant so I’m really wanting it to not die immediately! I’m not sure what could be causing that black spot (fungus or mold?), the brown spots, or the shriveled dead leaves. It gets full sunlight and I’ve only watered it once when I first got it 4 days ago. Anyone have any ideas?

My flamingo flower was doing really well...until I noticed this leaf. Any idea what is happening?? I've noticed some of the other leaves are yellow on the tips, does this mean I'm over-watering?

Hi, I have two boston ferns indoor in a pot. They are not doing great. I have kept them next to windows, one in bathroom (get some of the winter sun in there) and other in kitchen (no direct sun there). The leaves are drying, bit crispy. I know since its winter here so not expecting much of new growth but would like them to be healthy. Please advise what can I do to revive them.

What is this? Found it in my cover pot, it was rolled up in a spiral. Is it bad for my plants?

Having a situation with my cylindrical snake plant. I’ve researched online and have not come up with an answer of what is going on. On this plant I find droplets on a couple leaves now and then. I know many plants drip water but never heard of a snake plant doing it. Plus the drops are sticky. It’s not from a plant above, I can not find any pests.

So I recently repotted this baby from its mother philodendron birkin. It seems to be healthy so far, but the first new leaf it’s grown has brown on the bottom side of the leaf. It’s almost like the brown is a birth mark as it grew in with this mark. It didn’t develop it due to watering conditions. rest of the plant is very healthy. Does anyone know what this could be from? Is it a health issue ? I thought maybe lighting but it is in medium light, just like its mother plant.

HELP! We have had to our Red Star Cordyline in our living room for about 2 months now and she isn’t looking so great. Her leaves are starting to yellow and get crispy, she’s usually about 8 feet away from our window and we use filtered water to water her. We did move her closer to the window about a couple days ago and her leaves started to yellow. I moved her back to her original spot 8 feet from the window hoping to save her. Any advice would help!

Proof that you never know what’s going on until you look under the surface! Glad I rescued my baby from tough dried out soil and a huge air pocket!

Ok since I’ve started using this app to help remind me when to water my plants I’ve had two end up getting watered too much. I got a moisture meter, if anyone uses that, how do you use it correctly? How deep into the soil should I measure? Do I measure close to the roots or off to the side? My ZZ has always been so so so healthy. It’s been one of my star plants, and now it’s dying. I feel like if I hadn’t started listening to the app telling me when to water I wouldn’t be in this position! The roots seem fairly bound in the pot, when do I know it’s time to repot? I can get a photo of the roots in a bit if that helps!

Help - my zebra haworthia has fallen! Still has new growth but outer leaves have dried up. Roots are very small and shallow in the soil (it would be too easy to pull the plant out). I tried planting her deeper in the soil, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I just moved her closer to a window. Previously she was growing well in my kitchen with indirect light. I’ve had this plant just over a year.

So I saw some white residue the size of a pin head on two of the stems of my prayer plant. Wiped them off with 50 % alcohol. I dont notice any other symptoms of what might be mealy bugs. I sprinkled cinnamon on the soil. So not sure if it is mealy bugs. Or a fungal? What are other symptoms to look for?

Can anyone give me some tips on bringing my ivy back to good health? Poor guy hasn’t been doing too well. He was hanging in front of a window, but got pretty much no sunlight and I don’t think he was being watered enough. I moved him to a different window today hoping more direct sunlight would help, but I only gained custody of him as of a month ago, so I’m still a bit unfamiliar with ivy care. Anyone have any other tips?
