Hi- can someone help me with my monstera? I changed the soil because of a suggestion that it had root rot. It’s still not doing well. Any suggestions? I just watered from the bottom yesterday. Thank you!

UGH. I did it. I made The Big Chop. The moss pole was FULL of roots so the transition was really easy. It still hurt me though lol

hello everyone! i have a question regarding my monstera that i've had for a year and a half now. i repotted it the day i got it and it has been in the same pot the ever since. i noticed that it stopped producing fenestrated leaves a while ago, so i finally got around to repotting it in a bigger pot 2 weeks ago. since then, a bunch of the bottom leaves have turned yellow and died off. none of the newer leaves have yellowed, but i'm wondering if i should do anything to it. the new soil (potting soil + perlite mix) has been pretty damp surprisingly since the last time i watered it. maybe its due to the change of seasons? any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance!

ordered rooted Monstera White Tiger cuttings and they’ll be arriving soon! how much (direct?) light should they receive? This is my DREAM plant so I want to make sure they germinate well and grow!

Help needed!! I purchased this beautiful monstera just over a year ago, and it’s has grown like no tomorrow. Recently it has gotten a little unruly and I am lost!! Many of the branches are growing outwards rather than upwards and I’m not sure if I need to stake it, and if so where, with what and how!?! Currently I’ve used the felt velcro ties to bunch some of the branches together to keep them from drooping, but I don’t think that’s right and I definitely don’t want damage. Any advice would be a great help!!

Went to water this beauty and a few good sized roots are coming out of the drainage holes. Should I repot her, or wait a while longer?

I may have gone the wrong route by letting it spread horizontally rather than attaching it to a moss pole, but for now, I'm happy with my Monstera. I call her Chiara. :)

It always amazes me how quick plants respond when you give them what they want . 1st pic is from the seller literally a yr ago 2nd is what it grew into prior to support sorry I can only show the older part because I lost my pic of it before supporting it. (felt like forever) 3rd today maybe 1-2 months later after being supported . 🫢

Hi Community! We have this big Monstera plant in the office and it’s not looking too good. Can someone shine a light on what’s going on with this big green baby? What are these brown stems coming out of the plant? Do we need to cut it off? Please help. Thank you!!

I started noticing this clear crystalized residue on my leaves and it’s damaging the leaves. Guttation is high on the plant as well not sure if that’s what’s causing the residue. Even baby leaves are growing with water droplets in it. Not sure what’s going on. Any suggestions? Is it a fungus? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m so excited!!! I got the final plant on my wish list (for now!) 😉. Today I was able to get a Thai Constellation at Giant Tiger. She seems to be in pretty good health. Her roots look good. I gave her a shower and a thorough watering because she was bone dry. Everyone meet Andromeda!! 🪴

My monstera is growing sideways out of its pot. 😓 Is it possible to correct this so it’s growing up instead of out? Also wondering if I should replant into a bigger pot and move the pot to be more centered in the window.

I just recently bought my monstera… I’m so afraid of killing it! Can someone tell me when I should re pot and how/what to use… also does it look okay so far? I’ve had it about 2 weeks -I was told to let it get used to the environment before repotting. Very new plant mom that is only experienced with snake plants! lol

Help: Monstera Prop Fails! How do I START in soil? I am having the worst luck, trying to propagate Monstera cuttings. They were growing great roots in a dark stained glass vase in a rather dark room for about three months and were thriving. I took them out of the vase and brought them to my home I noticed some root rot, so cleaned up the roots a bit. I have very bright east facing light from floor to ceiling windows— complete opposite of where it was living and where the mother plant lives. That I believe was the first shock. They do NOT like bright indirect/East facing light! I put one cutting in soil and the roots struggled and died but the leaves remained healthy. The others I put in a clear glass vase with tap water and fertilizer and within two days, there is more rot, They were getting soft and coming off in my hand as I tried to rinse them. Wondering if the vases were too humid. So, I just whacked off all of the roots on one of them and cleaned as much rot from the nodes as I could to start over. The other one had salvageable roots so I cleaned those up and scraped off the rot. The leaves on all of them are still beautiful and green. Now fretting about whether I should just stick them in soil and try to start soil roots so that I don’t have the same failed experiment of transitioning water roots. Any advice??? Sharing pics.

I won a monserta Albo about a month ago and it has been THRIVING. It has even given me a half white leaf! But today while watering I noticed a single brown spot on the leaf. Any ideas? I water when then soil is alittle over half dry. It gets bright indirect light daily. Brown spot in question is on the leaf at the bottom left about mid way up the leaf. I may be over reacting, but this is my favorite plant. It has not been repotted since it came home. No pests.

The white is turning brown ☹️ under/over watering? Or from the thrips I think it had?
