What should i get my monstera to climb on?
Perfect New Leaf ā¤ļø I guess Iām doing something right
So I need a little insight. I split my huge monstera up and changed the soil to a more chunky well draining soil. It seems like ever since I changed it my monsteraās arenāt doing so well anymore.
My newest Thai Con leaf! Iām obsessed.
Introducing Myles (Spider-Man Theme) my Spider-Man Monstera. Donāt mind the leaves. He got a little burnt because Raleyās put him outside. I pruned him back. He was a birthday gift to myself last month. I pruned him up. Definitely a wish list plant checked off the listš„°š„°
So I bought her like this as she was cheap with being imperfect, Iāve repotted in better soil and she had fungus gnats as well that I think Iāve sorted now. But does anyone know what has caused the black spots on her leaves thereās even some on the new leaf thatās unfurling. Thanks
Curling monstera? I watered it lightly yesterday but I donāt know if Iām watering it enough. Repotted into 1pt each soil, coco choir, perlite, orchid bark then drenched. What am I doing wrong? Itās happening on two leaves and beginning on a third.. ā¹ļø
My Swiss cheese has two arms that aren't letting their leaves unfurl correctly! The last two or three from each arm have gotten stuck, and they end up ripping themselves :( is there anything I can do to correct this?
Hi all - I was gifted this Monstera Laniata propagation about 5 months ago. The plant has had no new visible growth in this time, and was sitting about 75cm from a South/West facing window. About 10 days ago I repotted her and placed her at my kitchen window in a North/East position, hoping to encourage new growth as weāve just entered Spring in VIC, Australia. The photo on the right is 10 days ago. In this time, the left leaf has adopted a lot of brown and I am concerned. I have just moved her back to her old position in the South/West facing window. Can anybody advise me on whether itās likely shock/the change of location or whether there may be other things at play? She is in a chunky soil mix, and I water sparingly you can also see in the current photo there is some greening happening at the base of her pot, which also began to happen before I repotted her 10 days ago. Unsure if this is also concerning? I gave her roots a good look over when I repotted her and they look healthy, however still minimal. Any advice would be amazing! Thanks plant community!
AAAAAHHHHHH !!!!! I hope sheās a big leaf! Iāve been praying she would bounce back after her repot and looks like she did!!!!
First time plant mom here! I just got this monstera about 2-3 weeks ago. I have noticed that sheās starting to get new brown spots on the leaves. I have been watering her every week, and I tried to put her closer to the window just yesterday as I felt like she wasnāt getting enough sun. Any help would be appreciated!
Progress!!! Leaf looks like it will have nice variegation! Iām so excited! This monstera started with two leaves now it has 5 plus the new one coming in! I killed my first monstera! Not proud of it but learning from my mistakes!
My two new Monstera Mint babies have arrived and I canāt wait to watch them grow and thrive!āØ
I wasnāt sure if it was gonna happen bc I acquired this so soon into my plant journey and I get need but my albo is growing a leaf!
7 month update š
hi friends, iām trying to figure out why my monsteraās leaf is folding over like this. i provide humidity and i believe it gets enough sunlight because the other leaves seem to be doing fine. any help is greatly appreciated ā¤ļø
Hi! I just bought an albo and itās been watered once with silica mixed in to prevent browning. This is what the normal lighting setup looks like - second picture (thai con is where the monstera albo is now). three grow lights about 8inches away from the plant. Lamp 1: box says output is 800 lumens and energy used is 8W, Lamp 2&3: say 10W each. It gets about 10-12 hrs of this light a day. I get about 2-3 hrs of direct morning sunlight in my window and this plant is put in front of that window then moved to the lighting setup for the rest of the day. This morning it was a bit foggy before I left (so Iām not sure if any sunlight came into the room) and I was out so I didnāt get a chance to move it from the window to the lighting table until about 5PM. When I came back, it had developed the brown spot as seen in the first picture⦠Is this due to too LITTLE sunlight today or too MUCH?
Iāve had this sweet baby for two years. She started off as one leaf, and then she made progress. A year ago, half of the leaves died because they got sunburned (while my mother babysat-still my fault). I feel she needs more humidity (my husband likes the house at 68.) Tell me what y'all think?
Looking for basic care advice Plant has been in my care for roughly a month now steadily opening new leaves. It's still in nursery pot and is growing lots of little leaves at the base. Should I be trimming these? Adding a climbing pole? Repotting? Thank you!!!!
