i got my little monstera yesterday from a university houseplant sale, and it’s looking a little sad. i know it’s recommended to water them after repotting (had to repot as its roots were growing over the rim of the last one) but i used soil discs that had to be activated by water yesterday so it was already very damp. should i water it again now, or wait until the soil has completely dried off? tips are very much appreciated

New leaf alert! Each new leaf is bigger than the last! This is so exciting! Can’t wait for the leaf to harden!

Could it be variegated? None of the other leaves have this and it looks completely healthy.

Hello all! Could anyone tell me if the climbing stick I have might be too big for my plants current size? It feels like I’m damaging the roots when putting it in, it also doesn’t stay upright and leans a lot. Should I use a smaller stick? Any suggestions would be appreciated! 🪴

Hi all. My Monsterra was replanted in a bigger pot last week and I am getting lots of new leaves but a lot of the older leaves are turning yellow and brown. I’m not sure where to go next with it?

My monstera cuttings from June have done so well since potting them last month! I cut some more long trailers to make more to share. This time I added a pothos cuttings in each to see if that improves the cuttings. I had a few that didn’t ever root. I made 4 new plants with the first cuttings though! I already shared one. It’s gonna be hard to share these beauties now !

So I need a little insight. I split my huge monstera up and changed the soil to a more chunky well draining soil. It seems like ever since I changed it my monstera’s aren’t doing so well anymore.

Introducing Myles (Spider-Man Theme) my Spider-Man Monstera. Don’t mind the leaves. He got a little burnt because Raley’s put him outside. I pruned him back. He was a birthday gift to myself last month. I pruned him up. Definitely a wish list plant checked off the list🥰🥰

So I bought her like this as she was cheap with being imperfect, I’ve repotted in better soil and she had fungus gnats as well that I think I’ve sorted now. But does anyone know what has caused the black spots on her leaves there’s even some on the new leaf that’s unfurling. Thanks

Curling monstera? I watered it lightly yesterday but I don’t know if I’m watering it enough. Repotted into 1pt each soil, coco choir, perlite, orchid bark then drenched. What am I doing wrong? It’s happening on two leaves and beginning on a third.. ☹️

My Swiss cheese has two arms that aren't letting their leaves unfurl correctly! The last two or three from each arm have gotten stuck, and they end up ripping themselves :( is there anything I can do to correct this?

Hi all - I was gifted this Monstera Laniata propagation about 5 months ago. The plant has had no new visible growth in this time, and was sitting about 75cm from a South/West facing window. About 10 days ago I repotted her and placed her at my kitchen window in a North/East position, hoping to encourage new growth as we’ve just entered Spring in VIC, Australia. The photo on the right is 10 days ago. In this time, the left leaf has adopted a lot of brown and I am concerned. I have just moved her back to her old position in the South/West facing window. Can anybody advise me on whether it’s likely shock/the change of location or whether there may be other things at play? She is in a chunky soil mix, and I water sparingly you can also see in the current photo there is some greening happening at the base of her pot, which also began to happen before I repotted her 10 days ago. Unsure if this is also concerning? I gave her roots a good look over when I repotted her and they look healthy, however still minimal. Any advice would be amazing! Thanks plant community!
