many new leaves over here
my Alocasia Regal Shield is starting to bloom! plenty of large leaves on this plant so i’m just gonna let it grow :)
My little one has increased his growth rate and put out more leaves this week. I’m just happy he survived when he looked dead on arrival about 10 weeks ago. He is my first Syngonium Rayii, a plant with velvety embossed leaves that feel more delicate than they look because of the thin leaves. He’s in a 2.5” inch pot and ready for repotting and life on the patio with “cooler” temperatures below 95 deg F!😆
So much new growth! 🌱 🌱✨
My Maranta is very happy in its new spot, pushing out new leaves all over the place, and these beautiful little flowers too!
This is my mom’s neighbor’s outdoor patch. It was covered in two feet of snow last December, and anything poking out was goo. Oh hi. Note that it gets insanely hot against that wall/next to asphalt. Posting to my Cholla to remind me to steal a clipping off one of these 🤤😀
This is the penultimate mention of the plants I stumbled upon over the weekend, but I’m still a little wide-eyed. Astrophytum grown from seed, in a window, in Northern Utah. Respect. I repeated “wait, you grew these?” a few times until giving a “we’re not worthy” gesture. I did hold back from asking to be adopted. This plant is straight-up sci-fi. Note my coffee mug. These plants are huge.
My bird of paradise has tripled in size in one year! So greedy. She loves the sun next to the ficus and mother-in-laws tongue
I’m obsessed with my new set up for my Exotica Satin Pothos. I finally completed putting it all together last night.
I was in big bend recently and I saw this big ocotillo and I thought it was so pretty and healthy!!!🤪👍
My aloe having some sun
I’m honestly shocked that I got an orchid to bloom again. I’ve been intimidated by them forever.
A new leaf on my Anthurium Crystallinum. It’s probably the last new leaf of the year.
I’ve had my eyeballs on Astrophytum as my next thing, which told the plant world I was coming for them. On Saturday, I went to a local plant swap that Facebook mysteriously put on my calendar six months ago. Though 90% of it was little (overpriced) leaf clippings, I found a mother/daughter team with the stuff of dreams on their little table. First, let me say all these were grown in a window. Second, the Astrophytum were grown by this duo from seed (my jaw dropped in front of the sellers). Third, I should have bought the peyote. Fourth, I’m downplaying how excited I was about the Copiapoa and Haworthia truncata. Fifth: I got all of these for $65!
Does anyone have was to get free plants????
Leaves of my beautiful Calathea warscewiczii ☺️
New addition to the Kitchen garden 😊
A new beginning 🙏
Meet Lisa Lisa from the clan Hoya Australis Lisa, the variegated members of Hoya Australis. She has beautiful shiny larger leaves that sun stress into a blend of yellows, red and orange colors. She recently arrived and is drooping from the traveling. She will produce white flowers that smell of vanilla and chocolate!🍫🍪😁
I got her back in April(1 picture) and now repotted in 6” pot(2nd & 3rd pictures
