Do you think this combination of my love of plants with my love of vintage pottery works well together? Opinions welcome. To be historically accurate, I’d need to put a philodendron or fern in this McCoy Pottery planter from ~1949. For now, it has my collection of air plants. Still trying to decide if I like them together.

This is the last living clipping of the 6ft tall rubber plant that lived at my Grandma's front door. It has been months of worry but it finally has roots!!! Any advice for transitioning it into soil would be great! 😭🌱

This was my first plant. It may sound odd but it’s always been easy to care for and was surprisingly forgiving as I made mistakes early in my plant journey. I’ve overwatered it, used fertilizer sticks, under fertilized, repotted it into too large of a pot when it was small. Yet it persevered.

Update time!! 1. My microgreens sprouted!! I cant wait to use these in a salad. 2. I found a wild strawberry/raspberry outside, and I tried saving it. Dont know if it’ll work, but I tried. 3. I received two new plants that I ordered online this weekend and they are both gorgeous. A calathea medallion and a ruby cascade. I also bought a Dottie calathea from my local plant store and she’s very pretty. The calathea medallion has such stunning leaves that I gasped when I took her out of the box.

I posted like two days ago…. wanting to share how pleased I was with my plant corner… then realizing how many of my plants needed repotting!!!! 🤦🏻♀️ And then having to change my plant corner again. 🫠 What a task! Moving plants around to their hand-me-down homes and then buying bigger pots that I didn’t think would be so pricey! I got away with a $25 terracotta pot for my rubber and monstera but after these… not looking forward to their upgrade. 🥲

I would like to share my pride and joy. I created this fairy garden to honor and remember my daughter Joana who died unexpectedly at the age of 26 from a missed blood clot. That was 17 years ago and I hand never gardened a day in my life. I learned about fairy gardens after her death and knowing how much she’d loved them I created this one in my backyard. I put it up every June and take it down in early October as my I live in NH and it wouldn’t survive the winters here. I’ve been told it’s magical and amazing. Hope you enjoy it too.
