I have a heart fern coming in the mail in the next week. Any tips? I have a lot of experience in monsteras, Alocasia, and common houseplants, even a fiddle leaf fig. But I’ve heard scary things lol! Pic is the order I placed.

Hi everyone! I just got a crispy fern which I heard are hard to care for. Does anyone have any tips for care? Specifically humidity in the winter (I live in NYC and it gets very dry in the winter). Thanks!

my fern has been feeling a little crispy since i got it a few days ago. i was told to water it once a week and when i bought it, the soil felt moist so i waited some days to water it again just in case. i watered it yesterday but have noticed the leaves drying up. i’ve been taking it in the shower with me to get some humidity but it doesn’t seem to be working, how else can i keep it humid? i live in nyc and it’s super humid there but i’m on vacation somewhere dry and also, the fall/winter is approaching so even when i go back, i’ll need to keep it humid.

Watch a new frond on my asparagus fern expand 🤩 I got this plant two weeks ago and it didn’t have any new growth but now it has five new growth points!! I was so excited when I noticed them :)

The picture doesn’t really show very well but my rabbit foot ferns seems to be shriveling? I’m not sure… she used to have these super big lucious leaves! And now they have kinda gotten small and thin looking and some are brown ish yellow. I’ve made sure to not over water her and to fertilize when her soil is dry. What am I doing wrong? She’s right in a window that gets sunlight, but it’s not a direct window where the sun comes in most of the day. I’d say she gets good sunlight around sunset

My silver brake fern is a little sad looking. I’ve had the plant a while, and feel that it looked fuller and greener in the past. It’s grown considerably, but lacks some vigor nowadays. The picture with a flag in the back was taken about one year ago and the other two pictures are current.

Fun fact: the asparagus fern is not actually a fern! It is more closely related to the asparagus vegetable 😂
