Anyone know how to hand pollinate string of hearts?
Was checking in on my pothos props and saw this curious thing happening. Looks like a root or something popping out of this node!! Anyone have an idea of what this growth could be? Questionable root is at the pointer finger and the water line was about where my thumb is in the second pic.
well.. I accidentally broke off a piece of my jade pothos so perfect time to propagate something new! fingers crossed it actually roots 😭
Hello, my succulent has a "sprout" and I was wondering what to do with it and how to propagate it?
Rescued these plants from previous owner and they are not on their great condition so I decided to do a makeover!! Hopefully they will come to life. Just ordered a mini fan and a humidifier for better condition.
Can you propagate a monstera deliciosa with a cutting that has multiple leaves? Most of the research I’ve done recommends one leaf per cutting but I don’t need that many monstera plants and I also don’t want to waste any of it… the one that I have (well I think it’s three in one pot) was a hand-me-down and has crazy long and leggy stems all facing different directions so my plan is to cut it down and see if it regrows and also to propagate the the active growing sections, each one with about 5 leaves per stem. Will trying to propagate a cutting with 5 leaves work? Does it make that much of a difference? I’m planning on water propagating.
Has anyone had any luck with propagating polka dot plants? I tried putting some cuttings in water but they’ve wilted and don’t seem to be forming any roots… any tips?
How long does this piece need to get before I can cut a new propagation from it? 🤦🏻♀️
My propagation died
I’m trying my hand at propagating succulents. They’re so cute!
Hey guys! One of my co-workers gave me a piece of Christmas cactus (or Easter or Thanksgiving idk) that fell off of her plant, and I want to try and propogate it. Any thoughts on what would be the best way? Water, soil, etc.
Does anyone count rain as watering your outside plants? If so do you say you watered early even if it’s several days before you are supposed to water your plants?
I have this jasmine plant (star, I think?) outside my house. It was planted by the HOA before I bought it, (new build so they got fancy with their plants) and I wanted to know the best way to propagate this one. Itls it the normal cut above the leaf node put it in some fertilized water like normal or is there more to this one? The heat has already dried out the flowers that just bloomed on it but I'm in zone 9a so we get hot early. I want to container plant it and use it as privacy screening for my balcony. It's east facing, mostly sunny. I personally have better luck with water propagation then soil, but if one method is better I'll give it a go.
Trying to propagate and revive this snake plant so it doesn’t die. Where would be the right spot to cut. Here?
Best way to prop African Violet? In soil? Moss? Bark? Water? What’s your successful method?
Where do I propagate this spider plant? Is there a special way or can I just cut a leaf and put it in water?
I’ve never seen or had a citronella plant grow like this! Can or should I cut it back some and try to propagate more out of it?
Hi! Im a new parent of my plants and I just got newly cut Begonia Maculata from my fiancé mom and I tried putting it directly to potting mix but Ive noticed that the leaves started to curl but not in a dry way so today Ive decided use sphagnum moss and covered the top with wrap hoping for extra humidity. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
yayyy my props are coming along so well!!!❤️🧡
Hello peeps! I am growing cabbages and I watched a video that said cut off the weaker one, I think when they have their first real leaves. But I am not really sure when I should cut back the smaller one. I will send a picture and you can tell me when lol. Thank you!
