Can you propagate a monstera deliciosa with a cutting that has multiple leaves? Most of the research I’ve done recommends one leaf per cutting but I don’t need that many monstera plants and I also don’t want to waste any of it… the one that I have (well I think it’s three in one pot) was a hand-me-down and has crazy long and leggy stems all facing different directions so my plan is to cut it down and see if it regrows and also to propagate the the active growing sections, each one with about 5 leaves per stem. Will trying to propagate a cutting with 5 leaves work? Does it make that much of a difference? I’m planning on water propagating.

Yes, you can. It makes no difference. Except where your water line is, and which nodes you want roots from

Thank you! What difference should be made for the water line?😅

Like if you wanted the plant upright, you would only want to cover the nodes you want roots from with water. Otherwise all the nodes would sprout roots and if you bury several leaf sections they can sometimes rot
