Hello! I received a string of pearls for my birthday and have managed to kill most of the plant. I have one string hanging on for dear life that has generated some new growth. Any tips for trying to save/restart this guy? Thanks!
I feel like a grandmother rn :’) Decided to propagate this bare pothos vine back in December and look how far they’ve come! Hoping to get them in some soil soon when the roots get more hearty
I have a String of Turtles I would like to propagate, anyone have hints as to how to do this?
This little guy has had some trouble in the past and suddenly flopped over. I snipped off the ends and plopped them in this glass container w/river rocks and water. My question is: will he be fine with this set up or do I need to get semi-hydro-whatever instead?
hi !! i’m new(ish) in the plant game, or have re-entered recently. i have a 5ft money tree (that omg i just got for $10 on fb marketplace) and am trying to propagate a couple little shoots from it! i have no idea what i’m doing honestly. i’ve propagated succulents before cause those are easy, but i’ve really been wanting to try this and see! so any tips, tricks, advice would be GREATLY appreciated :))
howdy! today my ceramics teacher was giving away some of her plants, so i took one home with me. i’m pretty sure it’s some sort of poulka dot begonia plant, but im not sure. no roots, so we have it soaking in water right now. does anybody know how i should care for this? what kind of soil does it need? how long does it take for the roots to grow off of a fresh snip? when should i repot her? it’s such a gorgeous plant and the leaves seem very healthy so i don’t want to mess this up, as i’ve just recently started taking care of plants
Growing three varieties of okra; noticed two cells have this white stringy stuff on them, which I assume to be fungi? Now I know this potting soil has beneficial fungi in it, so should I let them chill or take action?
Can this plant live in water forever or should I move it to soil soon?
I’ve never propagated anything but pothos before, so I’m SUPER happy to see all of my string props have new growth! String of pearls, dolphins, and hearts (? Not quite heart shaped…)
Am I propagating this right?
Is she with child?? Do I just let it be or can it be propagated?
Hey all, I’ve been propagating these Tradescantia for 3 weeks. Some have rooted while others have not but I have noticed that they are putting out new leaves but not roots, if planted in soil, will they root? Also the ones that have rooted (second picture) how long until I can pot in soil. Thanks in advance!
My lemon🍋 seeds are finally sprouting 🌱❤️
My propagation finally started growing 😍 started in Nov 2024
Help! My urn plant has 4 babies and while it’s definitely time to repot (it’s faing over/too small pot), I’m not sure how to proceed. 1) repot the whole thing as is (I’d like to but in abog pot but then would I have to repot/separate soon)? 2) split all of the babies up from the mama 3) sonething else that I have not considered I’ve had an urn plant before which had a pup and I’ve successfully split them - but I’ve never had so many on one plant! Thanks so much
Two week old cuttings/scraps off the floor of the garden center. The pothos looking ones are not showing growth. The snake plant leaves are becoming mushy. And the giant vine one has brown bumps/warts (also zero growth). They all have sun and clean water. Am I doing something wrong?
Help! I was repotting my bird of paradise…and trying split the plant…these just snapped right off the roots! Will it survive??
Thanks to everyone who said she was salvageable- she totally was! New leaf unfurled beautifully, and she's growing nice healthy roots now! also, i think she's a heart of jesus, not a pink dalmatian.
