Just got this Hoya from a plant swap! Should I propagate in water or soil? Any tips? Also do y'all think it is a Hoya Carnosa Variegata? TYIA

Does anyone know how to prop (in h20) either a Philodendron Pink Princess or Arrowhead Strawberries & Cream? I want more pink plants!

Hey guys just a quick question; How long do water propagated monstera albo roots need to be before you can plant them in a chunky soil? The roots are the same length as I normally let my normal monsteras grow too, so feels right for timings but unsure?

Took these cuttings from an abandoned plant in my workplace… can I pot them? Theyve been in water for 2 days now.

Hi everyone, So i tried to propagate my pothos and ensured the roots were at least 2 inches long before potting it into a 8cm planter pot. Do you know how often i need to water ? Does it look healthy to you? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks so much.

Has anyone ever gotten this propagation crazy with one of their plants? (This is/was a Heart Leaf Philodendron Brasil). I just love waiting/watching new roots grow in water and have jars of cuttings all over my home. The best tips I’ve learned so far for cuttings are: cut at 45 degree angle, dip in rooting powder, let air dry to callous for 24hr, use distilled water with a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide to prevent slime and change weekly. Do you have any additional tips I could use?

Proud moment update: I’m excited to share the progress that my Tahitian Bridal Veil has made since I posted about it 2 months ago. It had started to get leggy, sparse growth on top, dried leaves, it wasn’t thriving. I almost sent it to plant heaven but thought I’d try to resuscitate it somehow. BIG thanks to the planta community who shared such valuable tips on how to revive it- I took out all the dead, crispy leaves, saved the cuttings and rooted them, and had enough for 2 medium pots. I also made sure to give them light 💡 up top for fullness. Two months later, my TBV is thriving, flowering, and I got 2 pots out of one! I hope they continue growing and trailing. 🪴 This is such a great community, I appreciate the sound advice and tips!! 🥰 📸before photos on top-below new plants

Am I on the right track here with my snake plant cutting propagation?? It's been about a month or two I think but I've read that 2-4 months should be seeing roots potentially? It's in an east facing window in refreshed water every 5-7 days with prop drops added. They're like little hairs so I think it looks promising but unsure

I am going to propagate my mom’s peacock plant. Can I do this in water, or is soil better?

Here is my beautiful philodendron moonlight. It seems to have two areas where new leaves are coming from and I have never heard of that for this type of plant and can’t find resourceful media for my dilemma! Does anyone have any advice on if it would be safe to separate them in a repotting?

I never have any luck propagating succulents, no matter what I try they just get mushy, shrivel, and turn black. Is it possible to use rooting hormone on succulents? Any advice on what I may be doing wrong is appreciated.

I accidentally snapped some small buds when planting my rose into the ground so I’m trying to propagate them. On Reddit it seems doable but tricky. Anyone has done it before and has tips?

I want to propagate my ZZ but don’t see nodes. Can I cut this new growth where my finger is pointing and put in water to propagate? In the second picture is the bottom of a ZZ I’ve had in water for weeks. Did I not cut it right?

How do you propogate string plants? I have a string of dolphins and string of bananas I’d like to prop but don’t understand where nodes are. I’d like to do this in water unless another way is more viable! Thanks

Are those little hairs at the end of my snake plant roots? It’s been in water for weeks.
