What plant is this? Found it growing in my planter. I thought it was something I planted but after a little research I think it’s a volunteer from some bird seed. I want to cut it since it’s growing near some of my stuff. Anyone know what it is?

First time gardener here! Here is the 4x4 raised garden bed i just planted. The two plants on the left are tomatoes. 4 plants on right are 2 Green Peppers and 2 cucumber plants. I’d love any and all tips! Question I have is what should I plant (if anything) in the corners and far left side?

Is it too late to direct sow wildflowers (zinnias, cosmos, daisies, poppies) in zone 8a? We’ve only just started getting consistently warm days but most days are in the 70-80 degree range with lots of rain.

Gardeners please help🪴 Apparently my dog likes veggies and nipped my cucumber plant while we were outside. I was getting it used to outdoor weather. Is there any saving it? Should I just cut the plant and hope for the best? Can it be propagated?? This cucumber was doing SO well😭😭

Hello all I’m brand new here from Wisconsin and just as new to gardening! Any plant I have ever tried to keep/grow. have resulted in a slow miserable death. Despite all of these failures I have always wanted to grow my own fruits and vegetables in a raised garden bed. However, understanding that I am the furthest person from a green thumb that could possibly exist, I have resisted the urge. Fast-forward a number of years and several attempts at growing Mint, and Basil from the supermarket my 13-year-old son asked just last Mother’s Day if I would get him a raised garden bed so he could start growing fruits and vegetables like one of his friends does. I couldn’t shove him in the car fast enough as we spent to the Local Home Depot to pick up a Small starter, raised garden bed, some soil and a number of different plants, including strawberries, tomatoes, basil, and some jalapeños for for fun. We got home, planted all these beautiful lush plants in this amazing looking raised bed. You couldn’t be happier. Fast-forward two weeks and the reality of my inability to grow green things it’s starting to set in and the plants are not looking as nice as they once did so I decided in a last ditch attempt to figure this out I would download this app. I kept seeing all over the Internet. Here we are today writing our first post and I couldn’t be more excited and hopeful to finally learn how to grow our own delicious fruits and vegetables. If you made it this far, I truly do want to say thank you. Any help it’s greatly appreciated and if there is someone out there, that’s willing to take the time to work with me one on one it would be forever grateful.

Halp! I put my potatoes tomato plant in a bigger planter to adjust it and make sure it would do well in that location (still new to gardening🙈) and I noticed this family of rollie pollies under the pot. Are they bad for the plants? Should I evict the family sooner than later? Either way they’ll be moved soon since I’ll be replanting it right there😅

Hello! I am gardening for the first time and the planta app is recommending to remove the tomato plant suckers. I read about it and some people say to leave it if you want more smaller tomatoes and remove if you want less but bigger tomatoes. Is that correct? If I want to remove, are these the suckers? They are still very small.

My garden this year! Is this too many plants? They are taking a long time to grow, not sure if it’s because it’s over crowded. (The cilantro and parsley in the front left just got planted, so hoping they will perk up)

Does anyone use a sprinkler to water their plants? I threw out grass seed last weekend so I have been using a sprinkler to water everything. But I read that plants need to be watered at the base.

Just planted some tomato seedlings outside yesterday and watered yesterday and today. Planta says next watering in 5 days, but I thought especially w a newly planted seedling it will need more than that. Anyone know why that’s Planta’s recommendation/what is correct?

We had a storm the other day and one of our main branches on our little lime hydrangea tree broke. What’s my best option? Any chance I could tape the branch up and it might heal? The leaves aren’t wilting after 3 days. Or might I be able to propagate it if I snip it?? Any advice is appreciated!

We recently purchased a house and the previous owner left things very overgrown (years worth). We have things cut back, but now I'm ready to garden! The dead foliage created quite the habitat for pests, but also an amazing soil. How do I treat for things I don't want without killing everything all together? I'm hoping to plant a garden for eating, so organic is ideal.
