I haven’t seen this flower in a long time!
The past few days, there have been so many hummingbirds at my feeder! There were four flying around for hours yesterday. I’m happy to be providing for one of the most beautiful animals nature can offer :)
Should my gladiolus have bloomed by now? we’ve had rain everyday since I planted end of May. They are in a place that gets full sun and the leaves have sprouted but no flowers. Any advice?
Hello! I'm not too experienced of a gardener so I'm having a bit of a problem with my milkweed and yarrow. The leaves on my milkweed are very droopy even though I've been watering. It used to be that I'd water it every time the leaves are droopy and they'd perk back up but now they're permanently droopy no matter how much I water it. I've had my yarrow for a shorter amount of time but in just 2 days after purchasing the plant started drooping. I water my yarrow the same amount I water my milkweed. Any ideas?
Anyone have any advice on how to get more sun for my orange tree? It’s very shaded in our backyard and was looking into artificial lights for outdoor gardening.
Desert Rose
Recently tomato worms fed off my cabbage and broccoli, leaving it full of holes. I sprayed my hole garden, and the bugs have layers off lately, but I have a few questions. Why didn’t they go for my tomatoes? Can I salvage my broccoli and cabbage? What are the best bug sprays for veggie gardens? I’m open to any tips or advice you might have. Thanks!
Added little to fire pit my Mother and Dad gave me back in the day.Hope they like it.
I went into my greenhouse to find a peat pots on the ground covered with roly polys. I threw away the pots and saved the plants. What should I do now?
This maybe my best photo I’ve taken. Of course accidentally took this one.
Garden grabs this morning 🌿
Hi guys need some help. These are cucumbers growing in front of my garage. They get sun from about 2pm til sun down in north Florida. It’s pretty hot so I’m thinking these leaves are turning white from the heat and sun? They’re still growing otherwise. Some of the leaves I took off because they were eaten by leaf miners so not sure if that’s it either. Any help? Thanks! 😃
Hello! I am going away in a few days and need some suggestions for watering the plants. Unfortunately we don’t have anyone who could water them and was wondering if there was any alternatives? We’re looking into maybe using a sports drink bottle to drip water into the plants? Or maybe the string method? We’re away for 3 weeks and really need suggestions! We have tomato’s, some potato’s, peas and peppers- we also have strawberries.
And…Magic.
So my cherry tomato plant hasn’t been growing and I’ve been wondering why, well this morning I went out to check on them and there were 6 grey mushrooms growing out of the pot but I’ve kept track of everything. There was also one in my cucumbers. I pulled the cucumbers but what can I do to actually get rid of them? Or do I need to repot?
Can anyone identify this plant pls. Planta says this is Japanese Sporea. It grows on the ground in my front porch. Thanks.
Powdery mildew (?) on my grapes: Does anyone know if (and how) this is salvageable? I have a very robust vine of table grapes but about a quarter of the bunches (mostly concentrated in one area) are starting to look like this. Same thing happened to last year’s crop. Should I prune back everything that looks like this? Spray with something? Any way to avoid this more proactively next year?
If your zone is higher than the one given in Planta will it not survive or only if it’s lower? I live in zone 10b, so would plants that say zone 5-9 survive? Would I bring them inside during summer ? It’s usually discussed the other way around
i just noticed these in my backyard! at first i thought they were weeds, but i took a look closer and noticed a lot of variegation on them. plus, pink leaves! does anybody know what this is? would i be able to take some cuttings of it into propagating/new pots? or am i just excited and they really are just weeds LOL
Hi. I live in Houston, TX and I’m about to get a croton plant. Do crotons do good in the Texas heat?
