My newest addition as of 10 minutes ago.

This was the tissue cultures I was most excited for to arrive. Hopefully she will acclimate and grow beautifully. Seemed to be a very healthy Specimen with excellent roots.

hey fellow alocasia lovers i can really only manage to have like three decently sized leaves on my variegated alocasia frydek, and so far it’s dropped the smallest two leaves i believe to have enough resources to produce the bigger leaves. i haven’t cut the smaller ones off to allow the plant to get all nutrients and energy from them, but i was wondering about all the best tips on how i could allow her to grow more leaves, and be able to sustain them. what i have so far: - cup underneath the pot filled with a small amount of water to promote humidity (not filled all the way up to the bottom of the pot) - placed like directly in front of my west facing window, but showing no signs of sunburn - i’ve been spraying to promote humidity - soil consists of regular soil, perlite, and orchid bark. - i water it every week with distilled water, and give it plant food every month - i’m putting in that beaded slow release fertilizer in december - i have it propped up on a stick, because the leaves have long stems towards my window (any way to fix the super long stems?) - also, i was wondering if using pon would be a good idea? would it be a better soil for it? anything helps!!! 💗💗

Hi ! My tiny alocasia came with a mesh. When should I remove it ? Seller's instructions were to put her in soil with the mesh. Please help, thanks!!!

This Dragonscale has lost a lot of leaves in its lifetime but I've never seen anything like this. All other leaves are healthy. Any guesses on what caused it?

I just got this stunning, enormous Alocasia! The previous owner wasn’t sure whether it’s a ‘Dawn’ or a ‘Batik,’ and the plant ID apps haven’t been much help. Can anyone tell me which one it is?

I ordered two Alocasia plants yesterday from my favorite place online BWH to get plants. A variegated Frydek and a variegated mint dragon scale! Only $45 which included the shipping! I currently only have one Alocasia - a Mickey Mouse. I’ll post once they arrive!

I bought these beauties on sale for $10!! BUT!! Im thinking they should be separated? Not sure why they would be on sale but I do want to take great care of these of course! Any suggestions or tips ?

Hi, I just got my first Colocasia Mojito today. The leaves look a little droopy, but overall the plant seems healthy. It was too big for its pot, and the weight was causing the stem to bend, which even pushed some roots out of the soil. I decided to repot it, though I’m not sure if that might stress the plant further. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—thank you!

Alocasia Reginea has a flower. I’m in Tampa, FL and thought it was going to die.
