Beautiful new Dragons Breath leaf in the sun âïž
Hi Alocasia gurus:) Just picked up this little guy from a store, my mom is a big fan of saving plants and was very keen on giving this guy a second chance. I notice damage on leaves, brown/yellow spots, and some strange white spots on spider web-like surfaces, probably spidermites. We took it home, washed the leaves thoroughly and will let this guy sit in quarantine to acclimate for a while. What is your advice? Should we cut off the yellowing leaf? Thanks!
Picked this beautiful lady up from the plant shop the other day and was just wondering if anyone could provide some insight on whether or not this was a good setup for her. When she got here the big leaf at the top was drooping pretty heavily and has since firmed up and stands tall. Iâm taking that as a good sign.
Needing help! Is this thrips? I'm having some spots on my leaves, no overwatering, cleaned bottom of leaves with neem oil leaf spray
wanted to show off my beautiful alocasia babies that iâve grown from corms. this was my first time growing alocasias from corms and im so happy with all my little guys! hopefully going to sell some to a local plant shop once theyâre more matuređ„ł and the craziest thing, theyâve been in aquarium gravel since they grew leaves and have been doing AMAZING. i have no plant friends to show this to so i hope someone on here finds this cool!
Just wanted to show you guys my pretty frydek. I was actually almost killing her because I totally took on a plant I didnât know how to care for ⊠but Iâve been giving her lots of tlc and now she keeps giving me new growth! đ
hi! just picked up this little guy and was wondering what variation it is! thanks!
Looking for help! Relatively new to plants and hoping to save this one. Got her from a big box store on a whim in December and sheâs been slowly deteriorating. The center leaf has been slowly yellowing since I got her, had to chop one dying leaf a month or so ago and now another one is on its way out. No new growth at all. I feel like everything I read says something different. Fertilizer, water more, water less, more sun, less sun, etc. I donât have very bright light in my apartment but my other plants are doing fine with it. Is this âdormancyâ? Should I chop all the leaves down back and start over?
Hi - any suggestions on how I can save my alocasia purpley? This is the last live leaf and I'm scared she will pass away :(
I need help identifying my Alocasia. The leaves are very elongated. Thanks!
Question: Why is that leaf turning brown? Context: Browning leaf is the only sign of distress. No sign of pests. Watering and liquid fertilizing happens as often as the app suggests â or I snooze the task if the soilâs still wet. I used to have the plant on a shelf a few feet away from the window, where it started to droop and a few leaves died. Itâs been much happier (and put out a new leaf) ever since I moved it to the sill. *I have not checked the roots recently. Maybe thatâs the next move.
I picked this guy up yesterday and heâs not looking so hot. I just watered and it hasnât perked up (about 6 hours). The spots are worrisome. I did just spray and wipe down all the leaves for fear of mites. Any ideas?
SOS⊠What happens if I just let them grow like that? lol Itâs -5 in Chicago and I reallyyy donât want go outside to dig my pots and soil out of the greenhouse to repot this mother trucker and her children đ«
My black velvet just unfurled a new leaf đ
I got an Alocasia Macrorrhiza Camouflage today and canât find it on Planta :/ Does anybody know if thereâs an other name for it so I can add it to my collection on the app? Iâm seeing a âgiant taro splashâ, to my knowledge this is the same thingâŠ? Not sure Any care tips would be appreciated too :))
I received this cuprea from a friend for christmas. However, in the last month, it has lost 4 leaves. Its remaining leaves seem to be drooping, and I donât know how to stop it. I water it every 7-10 days, and the pot itâs currently in has no drainage. Does anyone have any advice on how I can keep her alive? đ I welcome and greatly appreciate any tips!
Do you guys know what is this? Looks kinda weird
My first Polly is giving me a hard time đł The smaller leaves are all yellowing and dying. Doesnât seem over or under watered but I could be wrong! Any ideas on how to help this cutie ?! Thanks!!
Just got this Maharani, what advice do you all have for me? Iâve got a klingsbo cabinet not weather stripped and each shelf has one barring t5 pink-white light bar. Cabinet stays at about 66% humidity. In soil with rocks on top to help prevent gnats, watered 2-3 days ago fertilized 2 weeks ago.
What do i doooo?đ« This one lady gave it to me potted! When i pulled it out I noticed it had no root system!
