She finally bloomed! These Hoyas eh??….always ready to impress us! Let alone the smell of this one…what can I say…. I am rather puzzled actually! It is not unpleasant at all, yet it is almost difficult to figure out what it could be related to….it has some sort of “lemony” scent…and that’s all for me. 🤷🏻♂️. It would be awesome if anyone that has come across it could share their thoughts? 🙏❤️
I got this Gunung Gading as a free gift back in December & I was afraid it was not going to do anything for me but this morning I noticed an active growth point!! 🤩🌱✨
When hoya are jerks 😫🫥 and grow into random things around them.
Do I have a peduncle here on my hoya lisa? I'm so excited if so!!
It happened!!!! So happy this gal bloomed :)
Hello All: I began my Hoya journey approx 4 years ago. Both Hoya Princess and Queen were bought then, from cuttings. As you can see they are still alive and seem healthy but they’re quite small and have not bloomed to date. I read they were slow growers but this seems extreme. I have only repotted them once, they’re in loose chunky soil and are in a south facing window with blinds. So, usually no full on soil if it’s too hot. I water them every 14-20 days depending on the season. Plus, I feed them liquid fertilizer mostly spring/summer. Am I missing something? FYI, I have 15 Hoyas and 50% have bloomed and all are in good health. I welcome any advice. 🙂
I’m new to Hoyas, and I’m a little confused about watering. Planta says both of these plants are considered low demand, and that I should let the soil dry up before watering. However, Planta also says the Crimson Queen needs a perfect balance of water, not too much, and not too little. Can you tell me if you test a Hoyas need for moisture by using a wooden stake, or what? And why does Planta say the Crimson Queen needs a perfect balance of water? It sounds sort of like an oxymoron to me? Please, maybe some clarification on how to water these? TIA!
Added this beauty to the collection today.
So excited - my first blooms on this plant and a small hidden bloom I just found this morning
The first Hoya I’ve had bloom - my Hoya mathilde that I got last August! Cannot believe how beautiful it is.
Cleaning day! The Hindu Rope is sooo much fun to try to clean 😬
I’ve had this Hoya for a few years. It was a gift from my mom and I remember this plant having beautiful pink blooms in a sunny stairwell. My last house had virtually no natural light, but I now have a sunny spot for it. I’m hoping for some blooms someday! Growth has been excellent otherwise. I trim the plant seasonally and it now has a bit of density to it. I’m open to suggestions!! Just hoping it likes its new spot.
Just took this home from Home Depot. It was just marked as “Hoya”. Can someone help me identify this one, please? Is it a tricolor? Or just variegated maybe? Thanks!
Watch this space…first time for this Hoya Callystophilla…..even the unopened buds are just something else🩷!
My little Hoya Lacunosa (Snow Caps) bloomed last night. 😍 I woke early to the perfumed scent in the kitchen area. I assumed a hand soap gel fell off and drained into the sink. I found nothing in the sink and kept rolling. About two hours later I found blooms on the kitchen window sill! This is going into 2 years owning this little plant. It bloomed last summer. Winter bloom inside was unexpected. It’s a little dehydrated. The last photo is with the ceiling light on as it casts a yellow light making it look sun stressed.
Latest addition to my Hoyas collection. Hoya Multiflora “Shooting Stars” can’t wait ‘till she blooms.
Hoya sunrise finally bloom 😍
Hello y'all so I was told that this was a hoya, but I'm not convinced it's not a golden pothos, if it is a hoya I can't tell which kind it is I'm trying to find out what kind of pretty flowers it's going to have it's really what my in-game is with my questions LOL any ideas 🙏🪴🫶
Hoya Noona Pink at it once again. The scent is also deliciously yummy….almost like a sweet buttercream. 🩷
