The first Hoya I’ve had bloom - my Hoya mathilde that I got last August! Cannot believe how beautiful it is.

      Thank you!! Yes, it’s actually just in a hanging planter, and I’ve wrapped the vines around the ropes as they’ve grown. I used one clip from an orchid, but otherwise they’ve just hung on themselves ! You can see the ropes are two pieces, so I’ve been able to sort of gently weave the vines thru. :)

    I love how fast a Mathilde grows and blooms. I would buy them in 1” and 2” starter pots because they were affordable and very adorable. 🥰 I never repotted the 7 little ones because they grew with no fuss. I put three outdoors to get morning sun and all three bloomed and branched out last summer! My photo shows one in its original tiny cup. I added the hanging basket hook. It put out 5 peduncles.

    What does it smell like to you? I’ve heard conflicting reports.

      Maybe a little bit like lilac ?? It’s definitely subtle - but if you get close it’s noticeable ! Can’t totally put my finger on the scent tho!
