My miniature Joshua tree succulent is flowering.
It looks lovely like the new growth is getting long or leggy, does this look normal?
Help! What kind of succulent is this? I've had him for a while.
yesterday i bought two new plants. does anyone know what kind of cactus this is?
I don’t know what to do I want to make my false Christmas cactus grow flowers. Any idea how I can do that? This is her now and then.
Is there any chance of salvaging my aloe? By the time I got up the courage to investigate and repot, the roots are totally rotted off 😢 Can I somehow encourage new root growth?
I think my aloe is overwatered? How do I save it?!
I’m such a noob with cactus care. I had better luck when I was totally ignorant lol I was just checking out the mealy damage I assumed I would have but all I can see is the roots are gone except for the tap and it feels fine. Not mushy anywhere but definitely dormant or dead. What do I do now? 🧐 How do I get it to grow roots and save it? Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏 *Update: I’ve learned that the smell of pine needles is a sign of life! And the roots missing is from dormancy. I’m so relieved 😅 but I’m putting it in a clear pot so I can watch for roots
Hi everyone! I got this succulent about 2 years ago and he seems to be doing alright, but he’s leaning a lot— are they supposed to do that? Could it be because of the separation in the soil? There are also some brown/dried out leaves at the bottom so I’m not sure if that means he’s not getting enough water (which seems impossible?) or if it’s a normal thing and I just need to remove them. I rotate my plants pretty regularly so I don’t think it’s an issue with the direction of the light. My guess is that I probably just need to add a bit more soil to even out the top? Thanks for any suggestions! 🫶
Purchased this cactus unrooted. I'd like it to straighten out and unsure of any issues as it has some black spots on the stem. Here's the current set up with soft plant ties and stakes. Any suggestions?
I pulled this stem from a pile of off cuts near my school and was wondering if I could nurse this back into a healthy Aloe Vera plant. When I got it it had some leaves (branches?) but someone mutilated it while I was occupied and I don’t know if it’s a lost cause or not. I know nothing about the health of it before I got my hands on it and would appreciate any help/info I can get, thank you.
Does anyone know the exact name of this cactus?
Does anyone know how to propagate a ripple jade? I have one and every time i try to propagate the leaves, they just get soggy and eventually die. Any tips?
I want to get a new cactus! 𝕊𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕠𝕗 𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕝𝕤 𝓿𝓼 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬?
I was told to water these when they get a little wrinkly but it’s been 3 and a half weeks since I got this and I’ve never watered it yet! To me the pearls look less vibrant and juicy than when I got it but I’m so scared. I love this plant and want to make sure I’m doing right by its care needs! Any advice?
Hi there👋, does anyone know what type of cactus this is? It was at a supermarket and labelled Haworthia which it is definitely not 😂
Just brought they home!!!!! I think it’s an Aeonium Sunburst? They had 20% off all plants at my local plant store, so I was really restraining myself 😬
I guess this is a good sign that it’s still alive! I have been trying to keep these pups alive since autumn and I check them every day. The chicken grit layer on top has been so helpful. It changes color when wet and protects the soil
All the rich red faded, which is further putting ideas in my head around how to get a specific color to stick around. I’m not super brave with intentional experiments, though. Anyway, not to disparage the plant, as she’s beautiful. (As I was thinking of puns for “harmsii,” the image of Halsey sitting on a throne with her child popped into my head.) The orange flowers didn’t quite make it the first time around, and the etoliation is still a little puzzling, as she was in a sunny window for a while.
Sometimes I just have to resist squeezing one. 🤷🏻♀️
