What kind of soil do yall use for cactuses that bloom. Any recommendations?
My False Christmas cactus. Moved them all to this corner shelf today so we could see all the blooms about to open. Going to be a nice display this year. 🎄🌵🌸
Will succulents survive with just JACK’S GRITTY MIX only? All my succulents right now are mix of succulent potting mix & Jack’s gritty mix. I’m planning to repot all of them with just JACK’s Gritty Mix. I’m trying to eliminate the soil part. If not, will combination of LECA & Jack’s Gritty Mix okay?
I think you can guess what happend 🤦♀️😭
My first sussulent, named her hope. Any tips on care ?
Does anyone know why the bottom leaves are getting mushy and falling off? I've had this red Pagoda since July.
Can anyone tell me what this is? Rat tail cactus
I just had to stake this up a couple of weeks ago and it's still sagging. I haven't changed its site or its watering schedule. No problems with the roots and no pests. Seems healthy. Is it just getting too heavy to stand straight? Should I be worried?
I've been trying to revive this sting of bananas, it fell a few weeks ago. I've been trying to stick it in soil to root, but it hasn't been doing anything but shrivel up a little. Pls give me advice to save it :(
The leave is all dried up. Would you plant this in soil now? Do i bury the leave for planting? Thank you.
This is my first winter using planta app. I mainly have trichocereus, loohophora, and gymnos. They are all in a greenhouse. The previous winter I withheld water from Nov-Apr. ran a small heater to keep from freezing. Planta app is wanting me to water during this time. Is there an option in the app for this? I know I can skip till next time. But having to do that for months seems ridiculous. Anyone have any insight on this?
New here!!!!! Just wanted to show my new baby!!!! PEARLEENA
Hello!!! Does anyone knows what kind of cactus is this? The sticker only says cactus and succulents. I know is not an African Milk Cactus, but I am not sure what kind it is. Thank you planta friends
I didn't even know that Tiger's Jaws bloomed!! This was so exciting to see, I've been worried about this one since fighting off some spider mites, but after separating a pup and careful tending, it's so happy it's now blooming! So exciting.
My aloe seems to have roots poking up out of the planter. Not sure if that means anything? It's in the same 4" pot that I bought in...Tysm for your input!
Last week I brought my Euphorbia inside for the winter and set it up under a Large Sol Tech Aspect Light. And OH MY GOODNESS I have never had a light perform so well for this plant (it’s usually unhappy unless it’s outside). Leaflets are not pictured here, but in just a week leaflets formed! I am so incredibly happy to see that my Euphorbia will be happy over winter. I cannot recommend this light enough! P.s. Don’t worry, I will put some other plants under this light to make good use of it 😊
I need some help! Recently we were at a cute boutique giving away free succlents, as many as you want, my dream! Except they were all not looking great. One of the plants I brought home was a fang plant. So I have a couple questions! 1. Are they extremely pricey? I've seen big ones sell for upwards of $170 or was that different? 2. What can I do to help this plant recover from being outside and whatever else it endured? Thank yall very much for helping!
So much growth 🥰
Just got this cutie from a friend but it doesn’t have a label. Is this an echeveria “Lola”, “onslow”, or “Mexican snowball” echeveria. Dr Planta is suggesting all three.
