How long should I let these sit to seal off before putting in soil?
First bloom of the season! 🌺
Made this very cool succulent arrangement copying a local nursery that sells them this way! 😍🥹
I was so afraid my Scarlet Hedgehog wasn’t going to come back after winter. I think we may be okay!
I wonder if this is a couple babies growing on my red shark tooth pagoda, or if this is how the plant grows it's really hard for me to tell me what the adult one looks like with this one's still a baby self🧐 I love rare plants

I can’t explain how this color of pink makes me feel 🥰
Is my snake plant ready to be repotted? Or how do I know when it needs a bigger pot?
Hoping to get some advice on what my poor guy needs. Picked him up with a bunch of other succulents a few weeks ago, and noticed it’s leaves were somewhat pale and yellowish, with a few of their edges browning. He’s been repotted in my own succulent mixture that very well draining, and is under grow lights 12+ hours a day, and rotated around frequently. I watered him for the first time after his repotting (over a month ago) a couple days ago after assuring his soil was dry. He looks somehow better and worse than when I first got him. Some of the leaves are more more green and plump, but some of the pale yellow leaves have lost even more of their green pigmentation. Since watering a few days ago I noticed a several leaves have fallen off on their own, some of them wrinkly and green, some of them the pale yellow leaves. The upper leaves on the plant seem secure and plump, but some of the leaves on the lower plant are wrinkles and fall off if bumped. I just want to know if there is anything else I can do to make him happy, and if anyone has advice on why there may be some leaf shedding plus some of those stubborn pale leaves. Photos include two different angles of the plant currently, and some of the leaves it has shed off.
Two questions~ Listed in order of priority. Plant identity: Echeveria Pulvinata Ruby Pruning question: This little buddy has grown a lot since I brought him home (see baby pic). I feel like I should prune him back to shape him, as he is rather leggy. I have not had a succulent with this growth pattern before & am hesitant to chop him. I did see a post today where someone chopped theirs, so that gives me a little more confidence. However, I have some other questions. Can I propagate what I remove? I usually propagate my succulents, but as I mentioned, my other succulents don’t have branches like this one. Color/nutrient/fertilizer question: Where did the ruby go? I identified this plant as an Echeveria Pulvinata Ruby when I purchased him last year. However, the “ruby” on his leaves quickly went away (see baby pic for comparison). I water with filtered water (altho it is hard water where I live); he lives in my eastern facing kitchen (lots of sunlight; direct in the mornings, bright the rest of the day). He has bloomed twice since living with me & grown a lot. So to me, this fuzzy Echeveria seems happy, but I am at a loss as to why his leaves are only green now. I usually assume this is like the melanin in our skin & becomes deeper with sun exposure, but he gets quite a lot of sunshine… Is he lacking some nutrient? Thanks!
I love this little variegated fellow 😄💕🤍
Hi! I got this plant and I’m very new to all sorts of plant/succulent care. According to the app, it’s a Mexican Snowball (I thought it was a hen and chick…are those synonymous?). Couple super quick questions… 1. Is it okay that the top is leaning to one side? I thought it was because it was growing towards the sun, but rotation hasn’t corrected the shape. I have a small skewer as you can see to give it some support, but I also don’t want to cause damage to the plant over time having it leaning. 2. Should I expect it to continue to grow new branches? There are two you can see in the picture. One is a little more mature and is starting to really flourish and the other is just a little baby bud. I think I’m starting to notice other buds beginning where leaves previously were (the open circles on the stem). 3. What is the film on the leaves and is it important to the care of the plant? I noticed there are some spots that are shiny rather than the dusty white look and I’m not sure if that is good, bad, or doesn’t matter. Thank you for all your help! I appreciate all the advice, I’m still learning!
hi all!! i was recently gifted this little guy, and i was told what type of plant it was, but i absolutely cannot remember it! i tried googling a bit to no avail. i’m pretty sure that it’s some type of succulent, but i might be misremembering. any ideas what it is?
Hi everyone! I just picked this beauty up from Walmart. I can’t find an exact match on Planta. When I scan the plant I get “zebra plant” when I type in aloe firecracker, I get “star aloe firecracker” but it’s all green; no red variegation. So planty experts, which is it? Which would be more suitable for planta? Thanks!
I could use some help please! From reading up on it, I think my snake plant needs more light since it’s growing upwards but not getting any bushier. I was thinking of repotting it into the terra cotta pot in the picture. I’m afraid they might start tipping over but I also don’t want to lose it by cutting them down because it’s from my son’s beach wedding a few years ago. Any suggestions on how to handle this properly?
I chopped my sedum because it was getting wayyyyyy too leggy, should I drop the bigger stem pieces in water or just lay them onto and spray them ?
Is this normal?
This guy is loving being in this water. Not really sure what it is. I almost feel bad potting it 🪴
I found it like this after his long winter nap. Are we worried about this or is he gonna make a comeback?! Google doesn’t seem to understand my question when I try to explain the situation here and I honestly didn’t think he’d survive the winter so now I’m a little lost.
