Just found this on the back of one of my kalanchoe leaves. Any clue what pest it is??
First bloom of the season. This lifesaver cactus has really taken off after a repot and separation.
Does anyone in PA know where to buy Jade plants? Iāve only ever seen them in Home Depot and Loweās, and from my experience with both stores, they tend to have issues with their plants getting infested with insects that you end up bringing home and infecting your other houseplants. Any online sellers are fine too, but I really only know one nursery thatās in my area, and they donāt sell jades.
Hi! I need some help identifying this succulent. I originally thought it was a Mexican snowball (echeveria elegans) but now thinking maybe itās not? I am also concerned because itās turning pink. Any advice?
Hi everyone! I was recently given what I believe to be a Prickly Pear Cactus to look after for a few months but itās in really rough shape and Iām unsure the best course of action. Anyone have any suggestions? I donāt know if itās under watered or why itās so discolored. Thanks!
Hey guys! This is my first succulent itās a little Cobweb houseleek and I was wondering if I should repot it in a little bit of a bigger pot or just leave it in the nursery pot? Also how often should I water it?
Hi friends! I recently received a (albeit very sickly) astrophytum/goats head cactus from a friend. He didnāt have the time to try and save him and wanted to see if I could give it a shot. Now I am not an expert by any means but I used Dr Planta to diagnose it and it thinks itās scales (EEK). What do you guys think? Did I just endanger the rest of my plants by bringing this one into the home? If so, how do I make sure they donāt get scales?? I tried to see if I could pull any of the reddish bits off and they donāt budge so I am hoping it is edema/discoloration. I donāt see any moving pests on there either. HELP
I was just given this Christmas cactus as a gift. After doing some research I learned that there are Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cactus and they are commonly confused with one another. Just wanted to check to make sure so I can take care of it properly. What kind do you guys think it is?
My first succulent. š The app says it should be in a pot with drainage. Is that true? I plan to repot it when it gets bigger and figured I could do it then if thatās the case. š¤·š½āāļø
My jellybean aurora is looking like this. Are these hairs normal? None of my other succulents look like this šµāš«
So, my mother handed this to me yesterday and said āsave it.ā (This tends to happen to me a lot⦠anyone else?) ššŖ“ Iām just wondering if anyone can identify them?
My new setup in my room! Iām so happy!!!
Please help! Iāve had this hobbit jade plant for almost 2 years. It recently started dropping a lot of leaves really quickly and developed brown spots on most of the leaves that dropped. I donāt know whatās wrong and I donāt know how to help it. I water it every 1-2 weeks when the top soil is dry. It got repotted in March and its health has just been spiralling since then. It used to live right by our south facing window, but i feared that the brown spots were developing because it was getting cooked during the day while I was at work, so I moved it to the center of the room. That seemed to make the leaves drop faster so i moved it back by the window today. Iām not sure whatās wrong and I donāt know how to fix her. Please help!
I have had this Echeveria gibbiflora for about three months and it has always slightly tilted over toward the top. Recently its leaves (particularly the lower ones) are soft, mushy, and wrinkled. Several have shriveled up entirely and Iāve removed them, but the remaining lower leaves havenāt changed color much at all - still green. The plant is about 5 inches tall, sits basically right in the windowsill, and is in a 3in tall x 3in diameter cup with drainage. I water it every 8 days (as recommended by this app). Any thoughts on saving this plant?
I just found out that ants actually eat aloe vera it was terrifying when I moved the pot for mine only to find hundreds of ants under it do not leave them outside if necessary or something I donāt want anyone to take that risk
