I grabbed this one based on the name. Look at those tubular roots!

My Haworthia has a pup on top. I’ve been waiting for it to spread but it’s just getting taller! Lol

hey y’all! I have this broadleaf stonecrop that i propagated from a leaf a while back, but its not taking root and it hasn’t grown in size. Ive mostly left it alone and watered it using Planta’s schedule, but it just seems to hate me. is there anything i should be doing?

Bought this cactus today and I’m not sure what it’s called. Does anyone know. Also does anyone know what the brown spots are from or what they are. I hope it doesn’t have pests :(

A cactus and succulent expert online recommended NOT watering cactuses from November to April (northern hemisphere). What do you guys think? I don’t have many cactuses, but I’ve had the same fairy castle for at least 2 years. I’ve always followed planta without an issue for that one. So I guess that answers my own question lol but I’m curious everyone else’s thoughts.

I just purchased this today and the label says christmas cactus, is this correct or is it something else? Also please send any care tips since it is my first one and do not want to kill it!!

Does anybody have any good ideas on how to preserve plants in the winter? Specifically cacti and succulents. I’m also interested growing seeds right now, but perhaps this isn’t the best time?

Wondering how I can rehab this little guy! I rescued him from a clearance rack at the grocery store, but he’s awfully leggy. I was thinking maybe I should cut him down like above the second level of leaves? (Are they called leaves on a succulent?) I’d be grateful to hear what any experts say! Thanks!

Echeveria silhouette - I have had indoor succulents for years. This is my first Echeveria to bloom indoors. I decided to move the grow light close enough to the succulents to cause sun stress and I got sun stress and a bloom 💚🪴

Can anyone identify this succulent? I’ve tried using this app and Google image search but nothing seems quite right :(

Does anyone know the name of this succulent? I’ve tried looking it up and looking through succulents on the app. But I can’t seem to find a match of what it is.

310 days of growth on this indoor succulent garden. Been some pruning over this time as one begins to choke another out and a few small additions but for the most part all the succulents have grown very well in this period. The planter is 20 inches in diameter and a grow light sits about 4-5 inches above it 12 hours a day. It gets a bit of morning sun as well if there is any these days in central Canada. It gets checked every month to see if it needs water. I mostly rely on testing the leaves pliability to assess if it needs water but will also insert a wooden stick into the center to see how much damp soil sticks to it. If it’s very dry and in need of water I will pour about 4-5 liters into it until it runs freely and quickly out the bottom of the planter. It sits on a makeshift base so I can place a couple towels underneath to soak up any water that runs out as it is too heavy to lift.
