Should I soak this little guy before he gets potted? I have a bit of succulent potting soil by Miracle Grow, to which I might add some pearlite and regular potting mix. Since this little guy looks so dried up, what should I do to prepare him for soil? TIA!

My Aeonium “Madi Gras” has flourished really lovely. I’m super stoked 🤗 She was gifted to me about a month ago. She’s a good looking gal😍

My best guesses for what is about to emerge from my plant: - a flower - another “ball” or segment - alien 👽 It’s growing really quickly, I noticed it Sunday and it’s already doubled in size…so whatever it is, it’s in a hurry!

Hello everyone, new to this app but we have used “Greg” for some time now. I have this Montrose “funny Bunny” cactus and he has been doing great, or so we think. We got him in June of this last year but they told us at the store to only water every two weeks, but maybe every 2-3 months in the cold climate. The issue is, even in our plant apps, they say every two weeks. Do we trust the plant app? Or do we continue the routine that the app is trying to get us on? My concern is some of these white spots starting to show up. I don’t know if it is an issue that is starting to ask for help.

My zebra plant grew this a few weeks ago and it’s starting to whither now. Is there seeds inside the top of it or was it suppose to flower at all?

Accidentally watered my narrow leaf chalk sticks twice in a month during winter and it started to rot. I chopped the top off, any suggestions for propagating these?

Hey guys, wanted to ask about this one. I’ve had this succulent for a little while and it’s been doing well but I had to go home for winter break and left it at my apartment in college. It was sitting on a window cill without water for 3 weeks and I came back to it looking like this. I don’t know if it was the cold on the cill or the lack of water but the roots don’t look happy. The ends of the vines still look good though but I’ve noticed a white fuzzy thing on one of the vines, do I have to worry about them rotting? Thanks!

I’d like to share with you two products I recently discovered: a really good cactus and succulent potting mix and organic perlite, with no dust at all. I repotted all my babies with them and I’m really satisfied.

Echeveria Lola left in low light for a month while on vacation, 1st pic from when I got back, 2&3rd pics are from ~4 days later after being under a grow light ~12hr/day, why is the stem shriveling up like that? Is this still salvageable and how would I go about that? Thanks!

Hello! I’ve had this snake plant for about 6 months now, and it’s been doing very well until just recently—it’s leaning over and has a few brown/dry patches on the leaves. It’s been inside for a few months since it’s too cold outside, and it’s about 5 feet from a window. Is there anything I can do to prevent the leaning or should I just chop and prop the wonky ones? Also, is there anything I can do to prevent the crazy leggy growth on the littler succs? There wasn’t any info on the tag but it looks like Bear’s Paw, Ghost Echeveria, Mother of Thousands, Elephant Bush, and Aloe Vera. Any tips are appreciated 🤍

I believe this is a Opuntia humifusa. I live in Iowa where prickly pear are not hardy, so I thought. A couple years ago I was out for a walk and I saw one growing outdoors. I was surprised. It has grown in that spot for over 10 years. Recently while out for a walk I saw that it had lost a pad onto the sidewalk so of course I picked it up. This was about 6 weeks ago and it had already started getting cold. The little pad was sad looking in a little purple. I let it dry for a couple days and then planted it. I'm hoping it will take root. I have another prickly pear that's doing well but I don't know the specific variety I'll add a picture of it maybe you can tell me. Also any pointers about succeeding with this new arrival would be welcome.

I think this is a pine cone cactus. I acquired a single "cone" from my son who got it from someone else. I stuck it in the soil and waited and waited and waited. Just when I was about to give up it came to life. Now it looks like this and last summer it really fattened up a lot. It finally seems to have enough roots to hold it up. Prior to last summer I had to prop it up all the time. If anyone knows anything more about this variety I'd be interested to hear it.

Hello everybody ☺️ my babies have recently been looking a bit droopy and I was wondering if anyone knew how to make their leaves grow upright and more plump towards the center if the plant again? Also, for the taller succulent, is there a way I can prune it so it grows more wide rather than tall?
