I’ve had this plant for almost a year now, she sits in an east facing window and I thought she was doing well until I took her down today, I noticed she had dry/dead spots on the top and she was loosing a lot of beans/leaves. Does anyone know what is wrong? Should I move it to an area with more light, or is this normal for this plant?
Thanks!! :))

Hi! I’ve never seen my Echeverría do this before. It’s gotten a little wrinkly and the leaves feel soft, cool and squishy to the touch. Is this something to be concerned about? Also I tried diagnosing it and Planta says it is overwatered, but I’m pretty sure it’s been at least 1.5 weeks since I last watered it. Can someone confirm or suggest what might be happening with my succulent??
Side note but I know I probably have to repot this soon (ahead of my Planta schedule) since it’s gotten taller, just I’ve been spending most of the time propagating it’s pups that grew at the base stem.

I’m finding it hard to research how much lux for a sun loving succulent/cactus needs. The lux measured for the one the light is directly on top of is about 30,000. Is this appropriate?
Google says 3,000 is the minimum for cacti to grow, but it says elsewhere that sun-loving cacti and sucs want to be 30,000-35,000.
What do you all think? I don’t want to hurt my babies.

I’ve had this guy for about 5 years now! He’s gotten really tall from when I originally got him, but he’s lost quite a few leaves and some of them are starting to detach from the stalk. Should I try propagating in the same pot?

Hmm. Do you think the roots got lost in the pot? This species is known for long roots, but…
I trimmed them in half and gave the plant a shorter, wider pot. The main root ball looked like a fortress, which gives me hope this one will grow. I still feel clueless on this species, tbh.

My new False Christmas Cactus! I named it Shirley, after my grandmother, who loved this plant! She so pretty!

Fuzzy…Thursday?
All of the light-colored, fuzzy cactus I have are (fingers crossed) almost zero stress. They will take as much light as I can give them and adapt within a few days to wherever they are; the tallest Silver Arrow in there is a bit that broke off the (huge!) parent and was thrown into a pot without any of the “wait for a callous” advice.

Can anyone tell me what this is? It started pretty small, thinking it’s some kind of haworthia but not sure. Planta just thinks it’s an aloe, which I’m pretty sure it’s not.
Much thanks!

Idk what im doing, this is the first time this has happened to me. I made a post in the past and i think the babies got a lil bigger, just not sure if i should repot soon or wait till spring. It just looks like the one is doing well but the other two babies haven’t gotten any bigger since last time. Im just wondering if they have enough nutrients getting to them or if it’s because they need more room to grow ? Someone halp :,)

Just a quick PSA: remember to check cacti closely for mealy bugs. So many cacti have white tufts as part of their growth, so it can be hard to tell them apart. That was the case with my Mammillaria toluca. But when I looked at it with a lighted magnifier, the sad truth was revealed. I’ve just squinted at my other 40+ cacti and sprayed/treated a handful that were questionable.
I’ve had a houseplant or two in the past that got a bad case of pests where I really wasn’t up for treating them, and they went in the bin. But NOBODY MESSES WITH MY CACTI !!!

I’m a new houseplant momma and things have been going great.
My one year old just pulled my haworthia out.
How do I save it?!

Lace aloe or Zebra Haworthia?
I received this plant as a gift a couple of years ago and for some reason I had it in Planta as an Echeveria. I just took some babies off it and repotted them and I wanted to double check because of toxicity to cats. I don’t have any, but if I’m giving them his gifts I want to be sure. Any ideas on exactly what it is? LeafSnap gave me those two options. Thanks!

Went outside today and my beautiful cactus basically fell over. We had a cold night, low of like 48 degrees but I didn’t think that would be too cold for it. Any ideas what happened and if it’s salvageable? Below are the before and after pictures.

A Euphorbia Lenewtonii… it is not listed in this app. Or maybe under a different name. Does anyone know? Any help will be much appreciated!

Just got this blue burrito from a friend. She had repotted it in this pot for me. I’m concerned about the length of the legs and worried that it is weighing down the plant. Also the leaves are very fragile and falling off like crazy. HELP!!

I really want to get into cacti because I think they’re adorable. 🌵 What starters would you recommend?
Green thumb Sedari
This is lolo! She’s kinda up in the age category, 2 years I believe. She’s been leaning for a bit and I’m assuming it’s because she’s top heavy.
Owned by a friend before me she was wilted, I peeled off the dried leaves at the bottom and repotted her about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Any advice?
