Hi, so I recently brought a SOP from a garden centre that was reduced and some of it was dead but the hanging vines were still green and healthy, I originally thought it had died due to under watering but when I got it home and started to cut it for Propagation I noticed a few dead small pests on it and it was sticky so I googled it and found out that an infestation causes the stickiness and also this black mold. I have washed it and there aren't any pests on there anymore but stems keep dying as seen in the photo. The pearls are still green and normally from my experience when a plant is dying from dehydration the pearls will shrivel up first but here that isn't the case so I'm wondering wether there is something else going on with the plant that I'm not aware of.

HELP! Is there anything I can do to help this plant that was delivered why I was outta the house?? She is wilted but other than that, she looks like she’s thriving! But I’m unsure if I should just wait it out or if there’s something I can do to help the temp change shock!

hey everyone my neon pothos has been really droopy lately she gets the perfect amount of sun but has this concerning brown spot on her leaf could it be do to a fungal infection or overwatering???? (please help!)

I received a crown of thorns today as a gift. I’m really excited but a little intimidated that it has been tagged as difficult. Anyone have any experience with this plant and can offer any advice? What makes it so difficult?

If your wondering how to water a moss pole without a mess. Take a water bottle (I chose Snapple) and drill a few small holes in the lid; I used the smallest bit I had. They will slowly trickle and suck bubbles of air back into the bottle. Slows down the process of watering but there’s 0 mess and it doesn’t even flow into your soil

Am I the only one that didn't think of this till now!?!? Right so people have said to wrap string of pearls or hearts etc around in the pot to help it root and look fuller but one vine will only grow 1-3 vines off of its self and takes up let's say 10% of the pot but if you have vines with the butterfly method (cutting the vines at the notes and they look like a butterfly.) in that 10% instead of having 1 vine with 1-3 vines growing off it you have 8-10 butterfly method ways you get more vines in the same space which then makes a fuller plant!!!!! Yes it is still good for vines to have more than one place where they root but if you don't have a problem with overwatering then there isn't an issue with not wrapping the vines around in the pot. Let me know whether this was helpful or you already knew this!

What is the first thing you do when you bring a new plant home?

I bought this white bird of paradise in June and haven’t repotted since. So it’s sitting the the same soil and pot I bought it in. I checked the bottom of the pot today and saw it’s roots sticking out. I think I should repot it but I’m not sure it would be a good idea as it’s now late October and it’s going into winter. My house stays around 20 degrees celsius so would the time of year maybe not affect when to repot it? Not really sure so could someone let me know thank you

Hi, I’ve bought this jade tricolour and it’s potted it very dense and very poor draining soil. It also has a bit of mold/fungus on the surface of its soil. Would it be a bad idea to change to the soil to well draining succulent soil mix today or should I wait, even though it is sitting in soggy soil

Hey yall!! This is like not a pro tip but defo a tip, so I had my polka dot and my monkey mask in terracotta pots, and I was getting a real fungal gnat problem like, really annoying and so I was looking at the pots and noticed they were really damp but also has white mould growing on them, so make sure if you have any sorta terracotta pot it’s best to just use glazed ones or use plastic pots (clear ones because then you can see roots and how wet your soil is) and use terracotta as sorta a decorative cover. Am I crazy to try to split a peperomia? My frost peperomia was already huge when I bought it and I’ve never been happy with the size. It has a single root ball with multiple stems, and according to Google 🧐 if I carefully cut away a few stems with some roots I can divide it. Has anyone tried this? I don’t want to kill it.
