Pings are exploding in population, I almost have too many to know what to do with!! Same with sundews, I have babies absolutely everywhere… one of my Altas had some light burn but it seems to be doing lots better, huge growth on the other one, and my N.(Viking x ampullaria red striped) X N.Red wing hybrid is still thriving and beautiful :]

So my son just bought me this I assume it's to stay regular Venus It's in a 2-in pot so It's a little guy still that I was sort of reading up on it and it says that I feed it like say a small mealworm every 2 to 4 weeks And only one of the little pods at a time? And only give RO or distilled water?( I wouldn't trust the rainwater these days js🙄🥴) I have it in my 67 to 70% humidity sunroom at 66° with a fan under a 45w grow light.. now I can find it a spot under the 75 w full spectrum whatever grow lights that I have if needed as well any tips or tricks are much appreciated I'd like to not kill it 🙏🤣 since I just got it from the store basically when do I know when it was fed last and when it's hungry again? 😩FEED ME SEYMOUR! Or do I need to throw it in my unheated 40° laundry room for the winter? I'm in Indiana.. It's cold

So I got a Venus fly trap like 3 weeks ago. I’m about to give up on this one and go get another one unless there’s something I can do to help it. I bought it because I’ve never had one and I always wanted it figured it was like almost every other plant so I brought it home. Started doing research on it and turns out it’s a very advanced plant. I took it out of that terrible pot. It comes in trimmed off all the dead ones inspected it repotted it in a Pete Moss soil. I’ve been keeping it consistently moist and then I found out it’s a bog plant. Meaning have it sitting in a little tray of water so I’ve been doing that using distilled water no fertilizer and it’s still dying so then I found out it has to have direct sunlight which I don’t have anywhere to put it for direct sunlight so I have it under a grow light. Do I have to feed it bugs? I’m honestly very confused of this plant because everything I’m reading is mixed. Is there anything I can do or should I just go buy a new one and restart, knowing the things that I know now and is there anything else I need to know? Also is this “food” good for them where I live in Michigan in winter time is next to impossible to either order live food or pick it up from the store(shipping delays due to cold) Or can I use dried mealworms? Adding a picture of what it looks like now and a description of what type of grow light I have

Got my carnivorous soil and moss mix. From reviews I saw that the soil ppm sometimes is higher than the 50ppm so I washed it with distilled water. Just thought of buying a meter to get better readings while doing this. I removed my VFT (Audrey II) from its store container to find a little baby. So now that makes me a plant grandma 👵🏼 Lets see how well I can grow this little guy Any tips and corrections are welcome as I want to be the best I can.

First time owner of this cute carnivorous plant. Meet Audrey II. My husband got to experience the little guys first meal while I was at work. Sadden but excited at the same time. Will be re-potting him later today as I had to order the particular soil and collect rain water for the guy

My son was gifted a Venus Fly Trap for Christmas. Within that time frame we’ve come to really love this little guy. We are both first time owners and are going at this with as much google research as possible. A couple of questions. It is in a grow pod and the light is on for atleast 12 hours a day. It has distilled water, the proper soil (I believe) and had its first round of insects around Christmas time. The traps closed immediately on the insects but have since opened and have clearly not fully absorbed them. 1) Why haven’t the traps fully absorbed the insects and do I just leave it like that? 2) Some traps, not all, are turning brown and rotting. I’ve already pruned one trap off that seemingly browned and rotted overnight a week ago. A new browning/rotting trap appeared within the last few days. Why is this happening? New traps are sprouting so I can’t imagine the entire plant is sick and some traps are fully okay.
