This is my first time owning a VFT 🪴 I have only had it for a month (always indoor) and it just keeps on growing! Guessing it’s happy 😊 Though with winter coming means it’s dormancy season (I’ve been tolled between Nov to Feb) is almost here. Some people were saying to keep in the fridge but with the size of it, i’m not sure I want it in the fridge 😅 Any tips on how dormancy season works with these ?

Question: I have several VFTs that have “died”, I assume they went dormant. How do I care for them during dormancy? Water? Light vs dark? Temperature? How long before I should see new growth? Or when do I know they are truly dead? (Pic is the one still alive.)

I wanted to show you guys my Nepenthes Gaya Pitcher Plant! His name is Marcus and I have had him for about a year and everytime he gets a new pitcher its bigger than the last! First photo was from a year ago and second is about a week ago🪰🪴✨ I'm so proud of him

Got a Venus fly trap today and would love any tips! I’ve only had luck with pings as far as carnivorous plants go, and have killed a few in the past. I’ve got it in long fiber sphagnum moss and perlite/pumice, watering with distilled. It’s currently in my growth chamber under a humidity dome for acclimation. I did notice the leaves were a bit wonky, but I think it’s due to some root rot it had before I moved it into the new moss.

Can anyone let me know if my plant is dying? I got her in April and she has new pitchers. When it was growing the leaves turned red but now the leaves are turning yellow. I haven’t changed anything. Its in a small green house with grow lights on top and I haven’t changed anything a spray system that sprays water occasionally for the humidity.
