My VFT is starting to grow different leaves. It is only a couple months old, does anyone know what these leaves mean?

My jaw dropped when i saw this and realized it's a flower. I would love some advice on what to do with it now/when it flowers finally. This is the first Venus i have had that did this.

Hi. I’m new to these plants but love them. My pitcher plant is not producing pitchers like it was. They get these little brown nubs that 3 weeks later don’t change. Cut them off? It’s growing but I think it needs more light. We have rainstorms every afternoon so I can’t put it outside because it would get overwatered, right? I use distilled water. I have a small one as well that’s not doing much. I bought a cheap grow light on Amazon and don’t know if I should use it. Hey guys, could someone tell me if my vft looks like it has leggy growth? The stems are really long, some sag and some go straight upright. It’s in the window frame in the room which gets the most sunlight in my house. Is this normal growth? If not any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Here’s your reminder to check your water!!! I just went to check on my Venus flytrap, and ewwwe I dunno how this happened… but there was mosquito larvae in its sitting water!!!!! Yuck!!! 🤮 But also!!!! This is also your PSA to not give up on your plants! I accidentally gave the Venus some water with fertilizer in it!!! OMG it almost died! But I didn’t give up on her and now she’s got new shoots popping out!!!

Hi! I’m getting really interested in carnivorous plants but have never owned one. Has anyone here ever heard of bog bowls? Apparently they’re perfect for carnivorous plants. Does anyone have any advice on how to make one?

my carnivorous plants arrived! sundew, venus flytrap, and a trumpet pitcher. i’ve got them sitting in a bottom layer of leca and sphagnum moss on top. any tips on caring for them?

Hello! I’m concerned about my pitcher plant. It stopped putting out pitchers a few months ago and just has those small ones. I repotted it yesterday and thought maybe it wasn’t getting enough sunlight although i do have a grow light above where it is, so i put it on my window sill and I came back home to its leaves like this! :( Is it sun burnt? or reacting to being repotted?

Pete had his first meal that we watched! We got him a bug and placed it there. We tapped the bug down into the trap, it walked a bit and Pete snapped shut extremely fast! A bit of the wing is hanging out is that a problem? It is now hot enough for Pete to be outside all the time! Things are looking up! 🌱 (the wing hanging out is shown in the second photo on the closest trap)

Just got this cutie today! First time having a Venus fly trap and just curious what’s the best possible way to care for them? Should I repot him or wait a little? And if so what size pot and any certain pot? I was also planning on keeping him in my room unless a better spot is recommended! Please please help a girly out! Would love to hear any recommendations!

I accidentally gave my Venus fly traps and pitcher plants water with minerals. Will they be okay? I was using water advertised as having used reverse osmosis, but today, I learned that it actually has minerals added. I’ve been using it for about 48 hours now. I’m about to get some distilled water for them. One of the pitcher plants has a bit of browning on top, but nothing else seems to have any problems. Does anyone know if they’ll be okay? Advice is welcome.

Question on Alan: I started putting him outside for more light, but I notice it looks like the white part of the plant mix is getting burnt? Is this normal? If not how can I avoid this?
