I repotted my pitcher plant using carnivorous plant soil. Was that okay to do? Also, I have it in a north facing window. Itâs been there about a month and has been doing fairly well. I just feel bummed that I havenât seen any new pitchers since I first bought it. Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
My pitcher plant grows these nubs then they stay like that. Do I cut them all off? Will they grow back? We have rainstorms every afternoon If I put it outside it will get more sun but wonât that be too much water?
How do I know when this needs a bigger Pot and do I have to separate them when I do?

Hi. Iâm new to these plants but love them. My pitcher plant is not producing pitchers like it was. They get these little brown nubs that 3 weeks later donât change. Cut them off? Itâs growing but I think it needs more light. We have rainstorms every afternoon so I canât put it outside because it would get overwatered, right? I use distilled water. I have a small one as well thatâs not doing much. I bought a cheap grow light on Amazon and donât know if I should use it. Hey guys, could someone tell me if my vft looks like it has leggy growth? The stems are really long, some sag and some go straight upright. Itâs in the window frame in the room which gets the most sunlight in my house. Is this normal growth? If not any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Hereâs your reminder to check your water!!! I just went to check on my Venus flytrap, and ewwwe I dunno how this happened⊠but there was mosquito larvae in its sitting water!!!!! Yuck!!! đ€ź But also!!!! This is also your PSA to not give up on your plants! I accidentally gave the Venus some water with fertilizer in it!!! OMG it almost died! But I didnât give up on her and now sheâs got new shoots popping out!!!
Hi! Iâm getting really interested in carnivorous plants but have never owned one. Has anyone here ever heard of bog bowls? Apparently theyâre perfect for carnivorous plants. Does anyone have any advice on how to make one?

Hello! Iâm concerned about my pitcher plant. It stopped putting out pitchers a few months ago and just has those small ones. I repotted it yesterday and thought maybe it wasnât getting enough sunlight although i do have a grow light above where it is, so i put it on my window sill and I came back home to its leaves like this! :( Is it sun burnt? or reacting to being repotted?

Pete had his first meal that we watched! We got him a bug and placed it there. We tapped the bug down into the trap, it walked a bit and Pete snapped shut extremely fast! A bit of the wing is hanging out is that a problem? It is now hot enough for Pete to be outside all the time! Things are looking up! đ± (the wing hanging out is shown in the second photo on the closest trap)
