You save a lot more money and actually better poles if you just get this and of course bulk is better besides #4 1. plastic coated wire mesh (it’s preferred because the water can rust it if it’s not coated) 2. zip ties 3. pvc sheets 4. hole puncher
Plant Lives Matter
Today I went to the US Botanic Garden for the first time since before I was a houseplant hobbyist. I just have to comment that it is a completely different experience going to a botanical garden with more knowledge about plants in general, e.g., climates, binomial nomenclature, etc. It even gave me ideas for more plants and showed me what some of my succulents might look like in 50 years. Unfortunately we were not able to see the corpse flower unfurled. Maybe next time 😊

Question, so I have a moonshine snake plant and was wondering if I’m maybe under watering?? So I have it in bright indirect light about a few feet away from an east facing window. It’s in a room that gets AC and a ceiling fan, but the vents aren’t directly on the plant. It’s in a terracotta pot with drainage and a very very chunky mix of 60% orchid bark, 20% perlite and 20% cactus succulent soil. I currently water it about once a month if not longer in between, and there was a small bottom leaf that got crunchy that I pulled off during my last watering and this leaf seems to be getting a lighter tinge of green. What do? 🧐

Ordered some clear nursery pots and a little soil mat on prime day! Got them today and did a bunch of (re)potting. Also killed some spider mites and aphids 🤢 here are all my babies. I recently moved to the California high desert. I am not used to this environment. I love plants and want to have a nice yard. When I moved here the only thing living in the yard was weeds. I have a fresh pallet, but I have lost several plants so far due to the excessive heat. I’m not a big fan of cacti. Some people have raised flowered beds. I’m not strong enough and healthy enough to do that myself anymore and that’s too expensive. Are there any suggestions? What plants would look good here, flower, and remind me of back east? Thank you.

My wondering dude has fungus gnats. I’m new to plant care and idk what to do!! I searched and it said to mix poroxide and water and spray the plant but it damaged a bunch of leaves. I had to remove them and she is putting out like 8 new leaves but she is infected again.

Hello all I’m new to the plant life and it has very quickly gotten out of control 😅 (but that’s okay) with that being said I don’t know much about what plant is what and the app is giving me two different plants. Monstera and golden pothos both of which I do have and it’s honestly looks like a mix of both 😂 sos please ❤️

I got back from a trip and my sweet potato vine plant got spider mites while a friend was taking care. I was quick to treat it so I didn’t get any pics, but a bunch of the leaves turned brown and crispy. Will these ever recover or should I chop those leafs off and let the branch regrow. It looks like there is a tiny leaflet already growing from every existing leaf node. Also I rinsed off really well, and then spray a little mixture of rubbing alcohol, neem oil, dish soap, and lotta water. Is there anything else I should do besides reapply in a few days? My basil got it too but I’m less concerned about that. Thanks for the help :D
