Does anyone have any tips on caring for a Desert Rose?? Its my first time and Iâve always wanted one!
I repotted this peace lily domino in mid August. I've read that they can go into shock after repotting, but it's now been months and no change. I water her when she needs it, and each time I cross my fingers that she'll come back to me but nothing ever happens. She's one of my best girls and I miss her. I included some pics from before she drooped, and as you can see she was glorious. How long does the shock usually last? Will she ever recover? I know she's not dead bc there's no yellowing or browning leaves, and her budding spathes even hung around for a while. I'm tempted to pot back downa size, but I don't want to start the recovery process all over again. I'm worried it was too early to repot or that she maybe doesn't like the soil I used. Like maybe it dries out too fast or something. Does anyone have any advice? Please help!
Knowing when to water my plants, has been the bane of my existence! I use this particular soil monitor, and really like it. However, can someone tell me how deep I should push this monitor into the soil? Planta says if the top of the soil is dry on a plant, then itâs ready to be watered. But, if I push the soil tester, fairly deeply, it will show wet. (I only use this method for my moisture loving plants, not for my Pothos, or other plants that like to be thoroughly dry before being watered.) I am wondering if the tips of some of the leaves of my plants are drying out, because Iâm waiting too long to water them. Is it OK to water any moisture loving plant if the soil monitor shows wet at any depth in the soil? Perhaps I am using this monitor incorrectly? TIA⊠đ€đđȘŽ
How should I repot this plant
Wouldnât you know it, this Pothos has something; anybody have some ideas? My Baltic blue has recently been sprayed with a copper fungicide, thatâs why there are some turquoise markings on the leaves, if you see that. This plant is always so healthy, but I just noticed a leaf with some chewed holes in it, (or thatâs what it looked like to me), so I started looking at the backs of some of the leaves, and found lots of spots! TIAâŠđ€đđȘŽ
The sweetheart here was thriving and she seems less happy now. I also accidentally cut off her basically only new shoot, I feel like crying!!! Will my baby be okay? HELP

What is this yellow thing at the end of my Fittoniaâs leaf? It feels crinkly, should I cut it off?
I went to water my air plant and this happened!!!!!! I know itâs extremely under watered, I was extremely busy and forgot to water it. I assume itâs dead? (First picture is after it broke not before)
My ficus green island has been dropping leaves like crazy the last 3 weeks and the leaves aren't even browning at all before they drop. I only have like a few leaves left from when I first got it and it's trying to sprout new leaves but some of the sprouting stubs have browned and just died before even becoming leaves. I don't know what to do at this point because every day it's just a check-in to see if all the leaves have fallen off already. I know it's not a watering issue cause I follow instructions pretty closely for this and basically use my probe on it frequently to make sure it's perfect. I have it under a grow light for 12h a day and it doesn't rereceive any direct sunlight at all. Please if anyone has any clue on how to save my ficus I'm all ears!
Just general advice, when should i be repotting my plants. I think the roots are starting to come out of the bottom of their pots and I wanna make sure Im doing this right.
I got in an order of plants, so I thought I'd post some pics of how they were packaged, since there was the post on how to ship plants safely. These are all 3-4" pots, and folded paper towel was put to cover the drainage holes, a damp paper towel was tucked all around the soil medium, then saran wrap tapped down over the towel to keep it in place and keep iin humidity. (You can just do a paper tape too). Then polyfil is placed around the leaves, and the plant is rolled in paper and taped up. Then taped down into the shipping box to avoid shifting and crushing. This was shipped next day, so no heat pak, but usually it'd be wrapped in paper and taped to the top of the box or o. The opposite side, you don't want it to close to the plants.
Any reason my pilea bottom leaves would be drooping so much? I recently repotted him as his soil was staying moist for too long. He was doing well after the repot but now seems to be drooping again đ„Č added second picture from before for reference.
does anyone know what is happening to my plant please?
Good morning planties! I was curious and wanted to make a Friday poll to see where everyone falls on the plant parent spectrum! đȘŽđ±đ So, are you more of a helicopter plant parent, watering your plants more than they might need? đ Or, are you a hands off plant parent and when you think about watering them, you give them an extra few days because âthey can make itâ lol? đ” Comment down below or use either emoji đ
I am going to try to plant a dandelion in a pot Ang grow it from seed does anyone have any experience/ recommendations on how to grow it and keep it alive
So last May I bought a 1â pot with a China doll seedling. There were 6 teeny plants and only one has survived. It is growing well but since this is the first time I have had one Iâm not sure if everything is alright. My grandfather had a rather large one that was really full so that is what I am used to seeing but it was a mature tree. This one keeps sending out new branches from the main stem on the top but every time they get super leggy. Just recently it has started pushing growth from the main branch at the bottom of the plant and âfilling itâ but it just seems a very odd way to grow. I have it on a table under a grow light in my kitchen it gets a small amount of filtered sunlight from a window with a covered porch outside but the light is on about 18 hours a day. Does anyone have experience with these plants? It gets regular watering and fertilizer and misting. Am I doing something wrong or is this how they normally grow?
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong with this orchid? I'm new to plant and orchid care. It's in bright indirect light all day and I water it according to the Planta schedule. It's still in the individual plastic cups with drainage. Everyday day the yellowing gets a little worse and I think it's starting on other leaves too.
I dropped my pride and joy today (dang you wrist surgery). Iâm heartbroken but I guess now I can sell the cuttings. đ
