What are some things you wish you had known when you first started your plant journey? I really wish someone had explained to me when I bought my first three plants that watering isn’t one size fits-all it depends on things like light, temperature, humidity, the type of soil, the pot material, and even the size of the pot. Unfortunately, I ended up overwatering my first two money trees, but luckily I was able to save the third one and now, I have about 40 happy ladies! 😊💚
Summer time = thriving time😍😍❤️🌿
Question Is my bathroom a good a place for my monstera? It’s always sunny in there and it’s about 2-3 ft away from the window. I have other plants in there as well. To me they a lot better in there then outside. I live in Hammond Louisiana in zone 9b i think!?!?
An update on my little Algeonema cutting!!! She’s been thriving with a little new growth, she’s got a few roots at the bottom. Is it time to plant in some soil? Or should I wait longer? I’m scared equally of rotting in the water and or shock
In addition to being a crazy plant lady I LOVE legos. So you can imagine how excited I was when they started making the botanical collection. I got the original wild flower set for Mother’s Day a few years ago and they sit in a vase in my guest bedroom. Last Christmas my kids gave me the orchid. Today at Kroger I found “tiny plants” on clearance! There are 3 types of plants with 9 plants in total. Arid succulents Tropicals Carnivorous How many can you identify?
Plant lovers, I could use some advice! The tips of my Tradescantia Nanouk have just started turning brown. Any idea what might be causing it and how I can fix it? I’d really appreciate the help!
Question about quarantine. I have added 5 new plants, from 3 different places within the last couple of days. I know to separate out from my current, but can they be quarantined together or should I find other locations?
Is this normal?? She’s in my South facing covered porch.
Poor plants 🙁 First they were planted in 6” terracotta but they wanted open space to spread out above ground. I repotted them together in a plastic window box. The drainage holes are inadequate and misplaced for my needs but I didn’t have any other options at the time. I hammered a drainage hole (it caused a small split so only one) and am giving it a good tilt after watering. Thankfully the summer savory roots like crazy! Maybe I can get it to grow in a little.
Hello! I’m not sure what the knowledge about trees is on this app, but my brother sent me these, this is a tree at his work that they planted a month ago and the poor thing isn’t doing well, any advice would be very appreciated!!
I’m new to gardening this year. I bought these 2 perennials and I have no idea what they are to add them to this app! Does anyone know what type of flowers these are? The purple ones I’m having a hard time caring for if anyone has any tips!
I am going on vacation for a week is it fine to just water all my plants and not water them all week?
Sun burn or watering issue? My Diffenbachia is in the south corner of a southwest facing sunroom. It does get some direct sun in the morning and afternoon. I noticed this leaf going limp two days ago when I last watered it, now it's looking brownish yellow.
What do you use to keep ants from the soil of your indoor plants?
I just repotted these snake plants in a chunky soil. The roots were completely dry so should I go ahead and water them (the single leaf plant is a prop that’s been in water until today)?
Hey y'all! Recently I just committed to gardening round the clock this summer, and was just wondering, what advice do you wish you knew when you began your gardening journey? Any specific plants you'd recommend growing?(Here are my current plants btw, hehe.)
can anyone help me? This is a silver dragon and I’m trying so hard to keep it alive. I made some mistakes at first so I got rid of all the dead leaves and saved this good one. I’ve been making it less cold in my room, and spritzing it for humidity but I don’t know. Should I repot it?
my plant looks like it’s dying but at the top it has a sprout, anything i should do?
Can anyone help me identify this plant? I have put it into the image search on here a couple times but it's not coming up with something that actually looks like this plant. I grabbed it at a garage sale and I have no idea what it is. Thanks in advance!
