I purchased this plant early fall, because it was just so pretty sitting in the nursery, and I really wanted it for my collection. However, I didn’t know a thing about it, and when I researched it, the info said this plant goes into dormancy. I have no idea what this really means, and I’ve been waiting for my Hilo to do something, and so far, nothing! Although today, I noticed these two dark spots on each of two leaves, and I’m wondering what this is, maybe the beginning of dormancy, or something else like black spot? Does anybody know anything about this plant? If so, I’d really appreciate any info you have. TIA!

Here is my newest plant it's a philodendron pink princess
I have three different clippings from an inch plant that are currently in small glasses of water. They have been growing roots for a few months now so they are definitely ready to be planted. I have 4 inch pots. Should I plant all of them together or separately?
I can’t figure out how to undo a task. Whether by accidentally clicking the widget or “select all” for rain (but some plants are covered by the patio. Any advice would be appreciated TY
I’ve had Jemima for a few months now, and she gets a pretty good amount of light - I use artificial and she’s always under one of the 16hr ones. I have one other place that might give her more light, but should I consider beheading or just prune the bottom droopy leaves? Her little baby hasn’t done much growing much lately as well
Just noticed this!- my Peace Lily actual has 2 flower petals on it bloom! The large on obviously and then that timer one starting to form. Excited because this is my first mutation! Hoping that each petal will be equally as(knowing that it probably won’t happen 🤣)
I am so delighted with the process of growing from a tissue culture. I got mine online and they are doing really well. It’s only day 3 and my crème brûlée monstera has a new leaf! Do you have any recommendations for places that you can get healthy ones at a reasonable price? I got mine from OLN and they are fantastic but I’m wondering if there’s anywhere that’s cheaper?

Does anyone know what to enter kokedama in as under the pot category? I just made a custom care set for now, but would love to fully utilize this app! TIA😁
Went to Home Depot with my $25 coupon today. I had to spend $25 to be able to use it. It took me almost an hour to find $25 worth of plants that weren't half dead. Seriously. Makes me crazy when stores don't care for their plants. 😡 I did manage to find a few succulents, which I repotted because they were in tiny little pots and root bound. The sansevieria was in mud!! Ok, rant over.
Little plants are getting some full sun treatment today! ☀️🪴
My plant wishlist is empty. What's on your wishlist? I need some inspiration of what to add to my collection
my fav little corner 🥰
I don’t know anything about calatheas other than they are said to be super dramatic and easy to kill. I got this one a couple weeks ago and I can’t tell how it’s doing. There are some leaves on the bottom layer that have slowly been turning yellow then dried and shriveled, but 1 new leaf has fully opened and another leaf is starting to open since I got it. I rotate it every so often because I have a grow light off to the side that it seems to turn the tops of its leaves away from. I tried to give it a watering globe full of distilled water because I heard they’re incredibly sensitive to chemicals in tap water. What do you all think? Do I need to move it somewhere darker (I.e. farther away from the grow light)?
This is my 2 1/2 year old Monstera 🪴 aka “Mila”. My beautiful baby has been repotted over a less than a month ago and flourishing very well. 🫶🏽. #monstera #plantmom #swisscheese
Repotted a few plants today I think I’m done quarantining a few and my gourd’s sprouted!
Plant haul today. Only 2 were full price—ponytail palm from Publix & variegated pepperonia from Lowe’s. Everything else from Lowe’s clearance.
Hello! I inherited a couple of dragon trees a few months ago and was told by someone to repot them in nothing but Kellogg Gromulch. They’ve been doing well but I test the soil (mulch?) for moisture before watering them, and the reader consistently reads at the highest level of moisture. I haven’t watered them in over a month now because it’s always reading “wet.” I stuck my finger in there too and there’s definitely a lot of moisture still, but it’s not soggy or sopping wet. Leaves are yellowing and dropping but I have no idea if it’s from being under watered or there’s now rot in the root. Does anyone know anything about Gromulch? l don’t know if there’s something in it that makes it not dry out completely or what’s going on but it doesn’t make sense to me. I’m planning to repot them this weekend using fox farms and some orchid bark to give it more aeration, but I’m afraid of shocking the plants and having them die on me. Any ideas or suggestions at all?
Hi, newbie here. I just wanted to know is it to early to separate these fiddle leaf fig plants.
Hi! New to plants. Any recommendations for beginners? I live in a 4 season state. I’d prefer indoor plants. Excited to be part of the community! All advice appreciated.
