Anyone know what this plant is? It was gifted to me recently. Is it just a bunch of baby aloes? 🙃
About a week ago I got one of the Thai con monsteras from walmart…the soil was soakkked and the roots were growing out of the bottom so I repotted it in just normal potting mix. I’m just now understanding the need for chunky soil mixes and I know that eventually my monstera would benefit from being in one. So my question is…Should I repot my monstera again to put it in better soil? Maybe wait a couple of months so it can recover from the shock from the last repot? Any useful thoughts are appreciated!! (I also will be putting it on a moss pole when I get a chance to!)
I’m excited about this group! I have two bonsai tree one I’ve had 20+yrs another I’ve had two yrs plus many other plants.
I live at almost 9000 ft in elevation, just recently put a blueberry bush, raspberry bush and some strawberries into my indoor collection. I've of course found wild berries that grow at elevation but will the typical berry grow this high? The plants look extremely healthy with the grow light and some humidity..
I used to have a saguaro cactus
I got the stormanthe triostar about 2 months ago as a cutting and I believe it's ready to plant. I've never had one of these and want to make sure I plant it right so she survives. Please any help would be greatly appreciated
Sooo what should be doing differently with this little guy?? Its petals are continuously drying up and falling off but it keeps growing just fine otherwise. Should I be putting it deeper in the soil so the stem isn’t exposed the way it is? This is how it was when I bought it so I just assumed that was how to plant it when I repotted it but it’s definitely odd looking for a succulent.
Is it over for my baby?! Do I have my first casualty? 😭 Elephant Ear that used to flourish is now cut down to a trunk but has white roots growing? 😭😭 is there any hope?
Hey hey plant friends look at my new baby Melany.. I have been searching high and low for this Ravan Zz plant.. thank you Walmart I never would’ve thought you would have this plant. So it had to come home to be loved 🙂🙂
Hello I'm a pretty new plant guy and was wondering if the color of this new leaf is normal? I just recently misted this plant hence why it's wet. 🙂
Repotting question… for this split leaf philodendron when I repot it do the white bulb-looking-things need to be under the soil or do they stay out of the soil like they are now? For some backstory for all interested lol - so I’m new to plants and was gifted a handful of plants in interesting conditions lol but I want them to thrive as much as possible so now that it’s spring I’m planning on repotting most of them because a lot of the pots either aren’t ideal or don’t have drainage holes and most of the soil seems questionable😬 wish me luck & I’ll probably be coming back for more help haha.
will these root well? they all have some nodes and i put plastic wrap over it and it’s under my grow light
Looking for recommendations on fertilizer! I was using an algae brand recommended before and my plants weren’t thriving. Stick method preferred, liquid is ok. Im in Canada I have : 3 golden pothos, a callisia repens new to my collection, tradescantia, eucalyptus, and snake plant
Recently brought a vigoro philodendron monstera as it stated on the label. Never had a monstera before, gimme all the tips for keeping it alive! Soil feels damp so assuming employees already watered it.
My Porcelain Flower Hoya has not bloomed in almost 2 years. Trying to decide if I need to repot it? Could that be preventing flowers?
Appreciation post. Long story short: my cat befriended his now adopted grandma who lives behind us. We then exchanged Xmas gifts, I cleaned up her beautiful desert backyard with various plants she planted 30+ years ago (Jurassic size now). We started texting here and there and after finding out we are trying our hand at gardening, she left this book on the wall for us; it has tons of notes as well. Plants bring people together no matter who you are. Also, I think I inherited a grandma 💚 So keep on posting & sharing ya’ll !
This is my thanksgiving cactus named cali

Just planted these Morning Glorys on Thursday(4/3) and I feel like this is explosive growth…I’ve always wanted them and I’m so excited to have them flower! Germination said 8-12 days so how’d I get 4 with this much growth?!
