Does anyone happen to know why my begonia is doing this? I think it’s wilting? I’m not too sure but I’ve cut several leaves and the stems aren’t mushy, there’s no signs of rot and I’m doubtful that it’s due to overwatering. I dont think it’s pests either. I originally thought it was too humid so I moved it but there was no change and now it’s losing its last leaf. It’s also is actively putting out new growth just doesn’t hold more than one leaf at a time. Any suggestions? Same leaf in the pics below, before and after!

I started using this app earlier this year, and I noticed that it tends to prompt me to overwater my plants. I want to get on top of my watering schedule because I have a trip coming up in the fall and I want to make it easy on my plant sitter. Is there a way to see the frequency of watering on each plant? I’ve looked around and there doesn’t seem to be anything that’s straightforward.
I read several posts here about Ott’s exotic plants. I googled it this morning and found out it’s only about an hour away from me. Since I’m on summer vacation I decided to visit tomorrow. Can anyone give me some tips or recommendations of what to do or look for while I am there? I truly do not need another indoor plant but I am sure I’ll get something! I have been hankering for a peacock plant add to my collection, so if they have a nice once I imagine it will come home with me! Also, I have been interested in getting a fern but I’m worried because I’ve read they are prone to pests. I’ve been really carefully looking after the plants I have and using mosquito bits to keep away gnats and mosquitoes. Do you think I am ready for a fern?
i just saw on titkok something about thrips??? does this plant i just bought have it?
So I didn't realize that I grew 2 different flower species I think ones a banterberry bells and the other might be carnations but what do I do? When should I separate them? Should I separate them?
My albo syngonium has matured now to where it’s beginning to produce tri-lobed leaves 😊🥹 From what I understand syngoniums do this as they mature going from the more arrowhead shaped leaves in their juvenile form to these split ones in their mature form.
Plant friends….. I need help. I got this peperomia 19 days ago. I have not watered it in 19 days because the soil has been wet since I got it. I don’t see yellow leaves or brown leaves. I don’t see pests. I see some new growth. But…. I don’t think soil should stay wet for 19 days! It’s been in EVERY window of my house and it thrives in all of them but the soil isn’t drying. So my only recourse I guess is…. What? Repot? I’m afraid I’m going to knock off every single leaf if I try to repot this thing. Or I could put a fan on it. Thoughts?!
Joke of the day! 🌿🚰 "I told my plant it was looking a little droopy, and it just stared at me. I think it's judging my watering habits." 🤔 Have a good day! ❤️ 🪴
Hello! I was wondering what plant this is? I also could use a care guide and how to propagate
My new babies. Left (dragon tree) right (heart leaf philodendron) How do I take care of either one? Any tips? Also I need some names!
Shan got a new set up since my purchase Tuesday.. I started to let it train down but a plank is so much better 🤞🏽😍😍
So, I’ve been tending to some spices and veggies for a couple months now but I’m not sure about how well they are doing, I downloaded this app in hopes of getting better knowledge on what I can do to help them grow. The plants are, hot and sweet peppers, oregano and cilantro I believe.
I was gifted this plant today by a colleague who is leaving the company. She doesn’t know what type of plant it is and when I asked for care instructions, she said “Ignore it!” It’s very lovely with a reddish tint to the leaves. But it has one spindly stalk/stem. She said she had it propped up with a stick but she took it out. I will add something tomorrow but would love to know what it is. Also that stem is way too fragile. Wonder if I might have to chop and hope it’s one of those plants where two or three branches will grow where you chop. Thoughts?
I'm gonna be gone for a week and a half and I'm not sure how to get my 90+ plants cared for. Our neighbors are coming over and I'd like to have 3 groups or less of plants that they can do the same thing with but with the rarer ones I have it's near impossible. Any tips on making it easier for them?
I joined a plant club today at a local garden center. I might not keep it up though. I came home with so much and I really am trying to keep it simple. Argh 😣 that’s the problem! Anyway I got these three little cuties I’ve never had before so that should give me something to think about for a while. Final spot for the air plant (grow slow), and no plan in place for the others. It will be fun to find something to put them in.
Hi so I have this snake plant, would you guys recommend for me to cut the bottom so it can grow roots or just leave it as is?
Hello! 👋 As someone who adores art and creativity, the one thing that sticks out to me the most about owning plants are the customized pots! It gives plants some flavor or an extra kick 🦵 so if you wanna make it more exciting i definitely recommend customized pottery for your plants!! 🪴
Can someone ID this plant? It feels like a monstera to me but the planta ID scan is all over the place.
My Lilly had a double bud and she just opened. I haven't ever saw this on a plant before. She was only fertilized one time all season as well. I finally found a unicorn! I thought other plant people would get my excitment!!
Hello, new plant pops here. I was recommended to purchase a moisture meter. I already have one, but I am not entirely sure how to use it. My meter has a scale from 1 to 10, where 1-3 indicates “Dry,” 4-7 indicates “Moist,” and 8-10 indicates “Wet.” Are “Dry” and “Wet” always undesirable, or does the optimal level vary depending on the type of plant I am caring for? For instance, I believe rosemary prefers to dry out slightly between waterings. Should I water it until the meter reads “Moist,” then check periodically until it reaches “Dry,” and then water again? Conversely, for a tomato plant, which I believe requires more consistent moisture, should the soil always read “Moist” when I check it?
