Will a ZZ plant grow here? This is an east facing window but close to another house so shaded light and no direct light.

Back when I first got into a bit âharderâ plants, I bought one of these and it immediately kneeled over and died (I didnât know what I was doing with it). Never did it âprayâ (where the leaves go up at night) even once. Fast forward to now after having more experience with calatheas, alocasias, etc, I bought another yesterday and in the day, it progressively got droopier which I worried about but now that the sun has set and the lights have come off, the leaves are coming up again! Itâs praying - itâs alive!!!! I just hope it stays alive lol. âPrayer plantâ for all the prayers that it stays alive.

I was surprised to see a bud in my Chinese evergreen. I didnât know they bloomed. I read in several places that you should cut the blooms off because the plant will put all its energy into the flower. Is this true? Does anyone have experience with this?
Iâm so excited about this Audrey Ficus water propagation!! The leaves are starting to feel âgrittyâ and getting a few brown spots though.. But too soon to transition to soil right? Help!
Anyone got recommendations for the best fertilizers for hoyas and orchids?

Iâm a little afraid of my Hoya đ€ŠđŒââïž Iâve had it hanging in a south facing window but itâs so cold I moved it today. Has anyone had success using a grow light with them?
(Left picture is old and plant seems to be doing better). Ok so iâve struggled with identifying this plant for a long time. At first I assumed it was an Aloe or Haworthia and settled on Aloe, but after looking through other types of Aloe now I think it might be a an Aloe Tiki(which I had never heard of). Any thoughts??
I know these are difficult but it was looking fine a month or so ago and now⊠not so much. Any tips?
When I got my goldfish plant she was in okay shape but def had some overwatering issues. After a couple weeks of quarantine I repotted her in better soil and she almost died on me. Shes starting to recover and Iâm so freaking excited! This plant has been on my wishlist for so long and they are incredibly hard to get ahold of anywhere near my area so I had to special order her from my fav plant shop a few hours from my home. Her name is Sashimi. đ
Hi guys:) I got a money tree two days ago from a nursery and I was wondering if I should transfer her to a pot I am very new to this and I want to do whatever it takes to keep my plant happy and thriving, also what does spraying my plants leaves do for her
Hi all! I am starting to get a bit of a white build up from watering my plants with tap water. Does anyone know if using brita filtered water would resolve this or if I have to get distilled water from the store? I just have a bunch of plants and would like to avoid buying a bunch of gallons of distilled water in possible. Thank you!
Does anyone have any tips for growing banana trees? Iâm in zone 8a due to the âcoldâ winters, but from April to November the temps are around 70-100 degrees with high humidity. Iâve heard that banana trees can withstand being frozen back in the winter, but come back the next year. Is it realistic to get bananas from them or will they not have enough time to produce? The only time temperatures drop below freezing is from late December to early February.
I have not watered or done anything with my plants for a few days now. Iâve been planning to give everyone a Neem Drench and the next day use a bug fogger (big gnat problem). So, my question is, there is not a setting for a drench, do I just log it for a watering?
I am wondering when to repot most of my plants. Is there a general rule of thumb for when to repot your average house Plants?
Has anyone got any recommendations of hanging plants that donât mind shade? I have a north facing room but would love some hanging plants. Iâm thinking maybe some Photos but also not sure what variety?
I have several plants whose leaf tips easily turn brown. Iâm wondering if a self watering pot will help with this problem. Can anyone recommend a favorite self watering pot? I am looking for a pot that is about 6 inches in diameter. TIAâŠđ€đđȘŽ
I got this peace lily sensation from steins garden center today and it looked rough so I toke it home and repotted it and it was root bound and it had some root rot so I cut the rot off and I did remove a lot of healthy roots to stimulate root growth ( about 1/3 not sure if this was the best idea) and the pot was 1 inch bigger but the soil had a hard time filling in the gaps in the new pot so I had to really push and punch the pot to get it to fall in, Iâm just worried itâs going to go into shock now. What do you think?
