Anyone in the south east going to this? I went the first year (2024) in Columbia, SC and it was great. They made it bigger this year, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go. Now it is Charleston, SC and Sydney Plant Guy will be there!!!!!!! I am not missing it in 2026!!!

My Alocasia is performing what I believe to be guttation⊠this is when plants release excess water and minerals from their leaves, especially when relative humidity and soil is overly-wet. These specialized glands are called hyathodes. I have not seen this before but itâs super cool! Itâs the early evening when it did this and I watered it three days ago, still quite damp in the soil. Hoping the new soil mix I am trying is not too wet for it. It has perlite, charcoal and orchid bark mini-chips in the coconut noir so I thought itâd be enough. Maybe I didnât mix enough chunks in? I did a 50% soil and 50% everything else mix but I def didnât measure when I did it. đ

My Croton Rina one week apart - my Croton began to drop leaves in the lead up to me repotting it. The stem of the leaves connecting to the main body of the plant began to go soft/almost mushy, and they were easily snapped off. I repotted the plant and checked for root rot however the roots are strong and appear very happy. The plant is now just the stem with strong roots. What can I do to try and save this plant? I currently have it by my front door under some shade facing South-East. Iâm in Victoria, Australia, so have just started Spring. New to taking plants seriously and really want to save this guy if I can!
