Can a person have too much money? My money plant and money tree are getting so tall that I am starting to wonder what to do with them! I have an orchid stick helping the money plant to stand up because it is ridiculously big. Any tips?
💡had a bright idea and picked up this light meter. But… now what?! 😅 Afraid I bit off more than I can chew here, friends. Any tips/tricks on how to use this tool and what to look for as I try to optimize the light for my indoor babies?? TIA!

Which plants do well planted directly into a terracotta pot?
I’m doing my first perlite propagation with some of the bald pieces of my pothos/monstera that I pruned. If anyone has done this before and has any tips, that would be great!
Anyone have good tips for getting rid of spider mites? I currently use neem oil spray weekly and have been spraying and wiping down with a mix of alcohol, peppermint castille soap, water and neem oil on leaves and stems. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
When I moved into my new place I got an Aglaonema from Easyplant. Seems like it was an expensive mistake. The thing just constantly gave me gnats because the self watering system keeps the soil sooo wet it was basically mud. I finally decided to repot it today and I had to downsize the pot 3 inches because the plants roots werent full enough for the pot they put it in. But good news, it’s flowering AND pushing out a new shoot!!🤭At least the overwatering didn’t kill it.
Just a proud plant mom
I’m going to need advice on how to split the pups & repot them. They’re almost 6” & I’m new to this type of plant. Thanks in advance
My aloe Vera is starting to yellow, what does this mean?
Please help. I want to give my monstera Deliciosa a coco pole. I don’t know which is the front or back.
10.25 PM and I thought the only people who might be as excited as I am right now are people here on Planta. I’ve been unemployed since 2020 due to multiple 2020 events. The Sheriff sold my house in November and I’m currently a squatter and nail the sheriff serves me an eviction notice. Money is tight. Very tight. While walking around my neighborhood I strolled through a plant store and day dreamed. In the back of the store, they had trellises and trellis like outdoor items. Now I have a pencil cactus that’s growing really tall and it needs a steak to keep it straight. I thought having a trellis for it would be cool. Unfortunately, the cost for a trellis was not possible for me to pay for. One of the trellises that they were selling was interesting. It was made of bamboo. They were selling bamboo steaks for two dollars each so four dollars for two. Looking at the trellises, and looking at the bamboo stakes, I realized that I could build that expensive trellis that they were selling. So for those two bamboo poles, I took the package of 100 skewers I have had since 2015 & never used, and my Dremel, and TADA! The trellis I made after paying $4.00 for the bamboo stakes! (I plan on trimming down the sides in the morning.)
