I’m newish to the plant hobby but don’t get much sun in my basement suite so bought the Barrina T5 grow lights to help my little guys out, I’m worried that I’ve placed them in bad spots and was hoping some people would be able to kindly help me out :) thank you so much!! Some people have told me that the barrina lights I have aren’t too strong so having plants that need partial sun are okay about 12 inches away from it… lmk if that’s wrong please Thank you in advance!!❤️

Saw these amazing looking flowers in a neighborhood in Texas, and O couldn’t recognize what they are. We don’t see much flowers in Texas due extreme weather, anyone knows what they are, or has any experience with them?

Repotted my avocado from water to soil today, she’s about a year old and was outgrowing her water cup, hoping she doesn’t get shocked so I’m continuing keeping her indoors for now In hopes she keeps thriving and will move outdoors if she grows bigger and stronger, any tips appreciated

Help!!! I moved Vicky so she gets more light; she’s in front of the window now. According to my research I’m over watering. I waited til her soil was dry before watering again. I changed her soil mix today. But now she’s not straight. Her leaves have some brown spots. Should I separate each plant, instead of having two on the same pot? Should I cut off some of spotty leaves? Should I just fall back? Somebody take the wheel

Good morning everyone ☀️ I just want some tips on how to improve the environment of my plant babies and create a thriving home for them. It’s just that lately, I’ve been experiencing a hump in taking care of my plants. Any tips are deeply appreciated, thank you and have a nice rest of your day 🥰🪴

So I got a little excited and bought this plant thinking it was very unique with the curled leaves. No tag (which isn’t unusual at this greenhouse) and not very pricey at all. Now that I’m home with it, I realizes it’s just a a golden pothos 🤦🏼‍♀️ Oh well, I didn’t already have one and it wasn’t expensive. 🌱💛

Well this is kind of going out to the people in the planta app itself. Is there a way that you can add an option for adding fungicide or insecticide me myself I use neem oil but it would be nice to track that as well and add it as a task. Is it possible you guys could add that in there?? Just be nice to remember when I did it last or had the option to add it to the to-do list

Is it normal for a fig leaf to drop its lower leaves?

I have a heat pump that keeps my house at one consistent temperature 24/7. Unsure on how to account for this in my plant settings. My plants aren’t actually as so, but should I set them to all being close to both AC and the heater?

Can anyone please tell me the identification of these? I got them at Plant Con and have no idea what they are.

Can anyone help me about this plant? I got them about a month ago and apparently they were under water so i try to water more often. Repotting them once ( idk if that make them worse) but still seems to be in bad health. Any tips pleaseee

I’m trying to root/save these cuttings from my mother in law’s watch chain plant. I read laying them on top of the soil and misting is the way to go. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Hi all! My sister gave me this monstera and I’m not a fan of how tall it is and how few leaves it has. Currently, each aerial root makes up about a third of the plants total root system, and the roots at the base of the plant make up about one third. What I’d like to do is cut the bottom of the plant off around the red line in the second picture, and bury the aerial roots in the soil. I also plan to cut off the bottom most leaf as it’s a little rough. Will my monstera survive or is it going to be too much stress for the aerial roots to handle the whole plant? Update: I did it! It looks so much better and definitely more sturdy as well for now since there isn’t so much weight so high up!

Has anyone had any success growing more than one monstera in a single planter? I havnt had success with this plant in the past so I'm hesitant to separate them. I think I counted 7 individual monsteras in this pot! Crazy that I got this for $19 at Home Depot
