My rubber plant is dropping leaves with new growth. It’s in a part sun part shade location now because I read too much sun can do this? Does anyone have any advice? It’s got 3 drainage holes in the bottom - the soil is wet now as I just was due to water it today. Thanks in advance!

Drooping leaves. What do I do?
I’ve had my BOP for like 2 months now and noticed the leaves stared drooping.
I’ll say that I did make a mistake by leaving it next to the ac vent. Because that’s where my window is. But how bad is it? And how can I revive it?
I water once a week depending on the moisture of the soil, and it’s in a pot with drainage.

Hello! I’m trying to make my backyard look nice, and it gets a lot of shade but quite a bit of sun as well, nowhere with full sun though. I am looking for anything from Lilly’s to bushes, for example calla Lilly or pampas grass but also stuff either leafy greenery, I need all the help I can get for suggestions, thanks in advance! ;)

What is everyone’s go to for grow lights? I have a few plants placed a little too dark and would like to add some grow lights to them but I want something reliable. I can’t seem to find any that don’t plug into the wall so would power banks be an option? Sorry if this is a repost I just haven’t seen anything posted recently in regards to grow lights. Thanks in advance 😊

Hi everyone, had this hypoestes for a few months now and this tends to happen every now and then, the yellowing of the leaves i would assume either too much water to too much sun, but i always let it dry out between water and the sun really hasn’t been bad at the minute, and if it were to be too hot i take them out the window, all I’ve been doing is chopping the leaves once they fully turn yellow, any advice?

Does anyone have any tips for keeping your plants alive while on a trip? I’m going on a 10 day vacation soon and I don’t want my plants to die while I’m gone

Is this a fungus on top of the soil of my ficus? The app didn’t detect any issues with the plant’s health based on pictures but I’m a little concerned.

My snake plant is not doing well at all. Leaves keep coming out a little wet and a little dry. What should I do? Any tips?

Yall how do I turn off the reminders for specific plants? I made a wishlist and I don’t need watering reminders for them

Does anyone know what could be causing this damage on leaves? I noticed little black pests flying around and in the soil, none on the actual leaves, I can’t tell if it’s thrips or fungal gnats. But the soil isn’t moist, and I have it isolated from my other plants.

hey yall! planta has suggested that i move a couple of my plants (bearded iris and echeveria) out from the shade of my terrace into the sun of the backyard (it says the light level is too low) these plants aren’t dying, but also aren’t exactly thriving. only thing is, we live in texas where it is well over 100° right now, plus humidity through the roof. i don’t want to burn the plants— should i purchase a grow light and keep them indoors (and out of the heat) or should i just keep them outside? i’ve had them outside for a day and they don’t seem to be wilting, but it’s only been a day. i am also super new to planta and haven’t quite built up that trust. any advice?

Does anything else think Planta suggests watering plants way too often?
Also apologies if this has been discussed to death before.
I signed up for Planta about a year ago because I wanted to get into taking care of houseplants but didn’t feel comfortable and confident so the auto watering schedule was a huge selling point. I now have almost 40 thriving plants! Overall it’s been wonderful and it was Planta that gave me the confidence.
But recently I’ve noticed that most of the plants that it tells me to water still have very moist soil when read with a soil moisture meter (I mostly bottom water my plants to avoid gnats).
I input all the information into the app, the distance from the window, pot size, growing medium, everything.
Anyways, now when it tells me to water I’ll take a moisture reading and if it’s still moist I’ll skip until next time. Sometimes I’ll skip multiple times in a row and all those plants are still doing fine great which suggests that Planta is telling me to water way too frequently.
Anyone else noticing this?
Tamara
Never seen this before!
