App developers…. Can you put in an option of having plants in a terrarium. Or am I just missing it. I have two plants that the app thinks is having a problem because I haven’t watered in a while but both are doing better in a terrarium but they stay wet much longer.

Recently gifted this lil guy to my Dad, and could use some confirmation on if this is a Haworthiopsis fasciata or attenuata. I’m leaning toward attenuata, given the white on both sides of the leaves, but can’t find a variety of it under Planta’s options of attenuata it resembles the best. TIA for any help in identifying him!
Newbie here. Wondering what this is on a plant I got this week?
Does anyone else mist terra cotta pots when they mist their plants? Doesn’t seem to do any harm, but I also don’t know if it does any good??
This bromeliad plant is in the original pot with no drainage. I thought it was dying and so I was going to give it to a friend that is better with plants then I am but then I noticed these little babies at the bottom. I would like to separate the 2 plants and put them in better pots but I'm not sure if I can now that there's babies. What do you all think and thanks for you help
Hi, I’m new at caring for indoor tropical plants. The plants I currently have require bright, indirect sunlight. I’ve placed the plants near windows. During the winter months we do not get a ton of sunlight. I’m wondering if using a plant light would be beneficial or if natural sunlight is enough for my plants.
I just came across a bit of information that I found interesting. A treatment for thrips: go over the leaves with a lint roller and then treat with neem. I found the lid roller and interesting tool for treatment.
I was checking my outside pots and found a weed in the soil of a big pot of syngoniums. I thought it was weed that looked like a portulaca. I yanked it and tossed it to realize it’s a peanut plant. 🥜 Two peanut plants in the shell. I ripped off the leaves while pulling them out. I’m sure a squirrel planted it.
What is this? First pic is the front of the leaf, and the second pic is the back of the leaf. It almost looks like something crawled on it… 😣! TIA!
What's everyone's favorite liquid fertilizer? Anddddddddd, go!
Oh me! I am in a dilema….😢. My plants have been doing so well since I got them last April in my sunroom I decided to turn into a plant room. I had some little 3 & 4” pots that had baby plants in them and I decided it was time to put them in bigger pots. All was going well until I was pressing the new dirt around my Aglaonema Red Anjamani. I must have lost my focus for a split second and pressed too hard and I snapped the plant off its STEM! 😩WAH! WAH! WAH! I quickly put the plant top in a small vase of water and I’m hoping the stem with sprout a leaf. But since it’s only a stem, doesn’t it have to have a leaf? I’m so sad. I got this plant in Auburn AL when I was escaping our last hurricane. 😢
I have recently entered the world of BEGONIAS…🥳! I’ve only had them in my yard on the patio during summers, and they’ve always been beautiful; I’ve never had any problems with them. I have stepped out in faith, and purchased five of them for indoors, and have some questions about watering. Somewhere, somebody said begonias like to be on the dry side before they get watered. That someone also mentioned a percentage I should look for before I water. If anybody recalls what those percentages are, can you please tell me what that is? TIA!
Watering is a chore that’s driving me CRAZY! For instance, my Baltic Blue has not been watered for well over 60 days, and since it’s a pothos, I always use a wooden stake, as well as two other moisture meters, to see how dry it is. Today, I used two different wooden stakes, and the two other moisture meters. Guess what, the stakes were absolutely CLEAN, however, both moisture meters registered wet! How can this be? I usually go by what the stakes tell me with plants like my pothos, but this is a real conundrum! Have any of you had this experience, and what did you do? Do I water, or don’t I water… 🫤! TIA!
Hey guys, I have the tiniest little microscopic greyish bugs inside of my terrarium and I’m trying to figure out A what they might be and B how I can get rid of them?!
Ive searched & haven’t seen any groups for bromeliads if there is one I’d appreciate the info . Until then anyone know what’s going on here ? I got this in an order that got mixed up & wasnt expecting it . It’s alive & still growing but looks well you can see in the pics . Not enough water or humidity …. Not enough light ? The center was way pinker when I got it .
New flower coming. Do you cut off the old flowers or just leave them?
Any idea of what type of plant this is? Thanks
Hi! My mom has this plant (not sure what it is) that she has for about 7 months. She just repotted it with tropical soil and waters it whenever she thinks it is thirsty lol. She is wondering what to do because the big leaves are starting to yellow. Thank you!
Just got this little one from Trader Joe’s 🥰 Any tips on how to take care of it? It’s a pilea mollis
Why do it have these spots on my queen of the night? I haven't seen any bugs and I water when it's dry. Is it getting to much humidity?
