I’m in zone 7a and planta is telling me that some of my plants need winterized like my miniature rose. It says to put it in a cool space- but I’m in an apartment and have a majority of tropical plants. It’s been growing indoors this whole time. Will it be okay even if it won’t get cold? Any tips/advice? Thank you!

I have just repotted my only orchid, and now I’m having problems figuring out when to water her. I used to be able to see her roots through the pot, but now, with the new orchid potting mix, and larger pot, I can’t see any of her roots, to tell if they’ve turned silvery, or not. How do I tell if my orchid needs water, unless I pull her out of the pot to see her roots, which I obviously don’t want to do. What other signs should I look for? TIA.…🤗💚🪴

My kenilworth ivy and it’s many tiny flowers. I moved it to a spot where it can get light from the front and back.

My fiddle leaf fig and rubber fig cuttings seem to be doing well, can anyone tell me how long it takes for them to root?

Hi everyone!
Quick few questions About my Mona(my monstera)!!! I need to stake her and I’m nervous I’ve never done it before, I have bamboo sticks!!! any advice and or tips will be greatly appreciated! Also I have a few pics of her close up which appear to be new leaves growing in, can anyone confirm?!?!?? And lastly, she has big leaves in the front I’m not sure if I should cut her off or something, she’s hanging on and still very green, but looks a little distressed. Thank you in advanced!

I bought a basil plant at Walmart about a week ago. Since I’ve had it it’s been repotted but a lot of leaves are dying. Any tips for basil plants? TIA!

This is my Diffenbachia exotica. I’ve been following Planta’s watering and sun advice since August. Anyone else have ideas? She’s still withering and turning yellow but I keep her water level at moist and indirect sunlight.

I understand that this is fungus what is the best treatment for it. Thank you for the response ahead of time.

A week-ish ago I potted 3 germinated apple seeds but I haven’t seen any root growth. Do they take a while or did I kill them from overwatering?? Every 6 days I give them 1/4 cup of water (I cut drainage holes)

What is a good thing to use as a soil acidifier for a repot for prayer plant?
Not only is looking a bit rough, I’m thinking the soil it’s in is not the best. It retains zero water, the plant dries out often. And since I see roots at the bottom, it’s time anyhow.

Does Planta have the Rocky Mountain Pine bonsai in its database? I cannot seem to find it and would appreciate guidance as I am growing one from a seed.

Should my pink polka dot plant be this tall? There are a few new leaves at the bottom of the stem. It’s also lost a bit of the spots is that bad?

I’ve been looking at this plant for most of the summer, knowing I had to do something about it, since it had stems that were falling on the floor. Voilà… the dirty deed is finally done; what do you think? But, I do have two questions: how do I stabilize the moss pole; it doesn’t seem very sturdy and it’s pushed all the way down into the dirt. Also, does that, musty, sort of nasty smell, ever go away? I’m definitely not appreciating that,🤭!
Any comments would be greatly appreciated. TIA … 🤗💚🪴

I need to repot my bird of paradise plant, but not sure what to use for soil since this is my first time repotting it. I normally use the Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil for my plants and they have all been doing great with that, but I am not sure if that can be used for the BOP as well. Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated!
