Can anyone tell me what I am?? Planta has three ideas, was hoping someone could be more specific.
so.. yesterday i was repotting all of my new plants. i got to my orchid and its roots were a mix of green, yellow, white, and black. i thought the yellow meant bad so i chopped those off including the white and black. i now realize the error of my actions and the roots have become a root and a nub. what do i do
Just picked up this beautiful Oxalis from my local Farmer’s Market. Any care tips?
A while ago I posted a query to the forum about if anyone knew a way to add a pot of mixed plants to a site so that if it needed to be moved inside or outside I wasn’t constantly having to change the individual plant locations. I send the request to Planta and got a response back that I wanted to share as I am sure I am not the only one who would benefit. “I don't have the perfect solution. But we have added a mixed planter in Planta. So if you search for "mixed planter" in the plant search, you should see three different ones, for low, medium and high watering, one for indoor planters and one for outdoors. Pick the one that corresponds to the watering need you plant have. Then you can customize the photo so that it suits and then I would also add which plants that are in the mixed planter under pictures and notes 🙂”
Is this normal? My Tera pots keep getting this white stuff all on the edges, I have two they both have snake plants and they both do this
Hubby surprised me with these 2 for my birthday ❤️🎂. I believe they’re Majestic Palms they’re huge! I’m going to have rearrange our entire living room around them lol From what I read here they can be hard to maintain… I would greatly appreciate any advice or input on caring for these two queens. 💚🪴
My fishbone epiphyllum cactus grew these spikes. Is this how they flower or does it need more light? I cannot find any pictures with these structures on a fishbone.
A beautiful sight 😍😍
The app recommended me not to put my croton outside but I think she’s doing the best out here. But she looks bleached and turned red is that normal this is my first one
Just found this arrowhead plant in my side yard! Nature is a miracle!
I need some help dealing with snails. I have most of my plants in my porch and snails keep getting inside and all over the plants. One day, I found 6 in random spots. I don’t really know if they are a danger to the plants but I don’t want them here. My mother is terrified of snails and worms so she hates the snails. What can I do to help get rid of the snail problem?
Does anybody know of a self watering device like or similar to these terra-cotta self watering spikes? I NEED IT FOR SMALL PLANTS. These spikes are way too big, but there must be something out there that would help water a small plant, say for vacation. TIA for any help. 🤗💚🪴 Globes are nice, but they are a pain to take out and refill, so there must be something similar to this; I just can’t find it!
Finally got her. 😍have been wanting a string of hearts for so long and I finally decided to do it!
trying to save my asparagus fern, are these brown roots normal or are they rotted, they don’t have any particularly bad smell but my plant is yellowing and was in a pot without drainage and was soaking so i repotted into a smaller pot that has a drainage hole, but i love this plant and don’t want it to die
After 4 months, my Pilea plant has finally adapted to my indoor space. In the first month, it lost almost all of its leaves, but now it looks so happy. When getting new plants, keep in mind that the adaptation process could be slow. @biophiscape 🌿
I was wondering if anyone knows why this happens, first she was resettling then it grew two new leaf babes and now shes looking like this again
My sago palm had a new shoot that grew super long and then just sort of fell on the ground. It's still green though. Does anyone know what I should do with this? Leave it alone, trim it?
Can someone give me some advice on this, please? My husband has had this bonsai for a couple of years. We moved to Phoenix from CA where I told him it’s best to have it as an inside plant. He told me I should just take care of it. In my opinion, it doesn’t look very healthy. I actually repotted it into more of a bonsai mix soil. and when I went to misted some of my plants, I noticed that there was some mist that landed on it and I saw these webs. What are they, how do I get rid of them? If it’s OK and it’s nothing to worry about. I’m just gonna have to CPR it into good health. Thank you for all your advice. Much as needed.
What substrate do you prefer? For the ones that prefer a chunky mix which seems to be most aroids, I like to use coco chips, mixed with some pumice, perlite and horticultural charcoal. What have you all found that works well for you?
What is the plant in the center of this flower arrangement, I have one that has a dracaena in the middle and I have this mystery one. Any ideas?
