The app recommended me not to put my croton outside but I think she’s doing the best out here. But she looks bleached and turned red is that normal this is my first one

I don’t think your plant is a croton, but is instead a ficus elastica. The red would be quite normal if that’s the case, as yours would be a variegation of the original ficus elastica. Here’s the ID for it to compare to yours. Hope this helps! https://links.getplanta.com/eCGx
3件のいいねI believe this is another plant not a croton. Hence the coloring changes. Nothing looks wrong with the coloring as far as that goes. Just want for crisping or burning marks on leaves which could be too much light. But it looks healthy. Like the other person said it looks like a ficus more than a croton. 🪴

I was about to say am I trippin or is that definitely not a croton and that’s a rubber plant (I think) of some sort lol
4件のいいねI called it a croton because that’s what the app identifies it as before it turned red it was solid green and it you look in the middle it’s got curly shoots coming out of the center 😅 I’m just confused and concerned I’m hurting my plant. Thank you
いいね 1件Ficus shivereana / Moonshine - looks like the other baby ones I’ve seen! The new leaves growing in the reddish sheaths also makes me think it’s one of these

いいね 1件I can see how it could be identified as a croton. Usually the red coloring is how plants respond to full sunlight.

I just peeked at your progress picture for this plant and wow! It’s really come a far way fast. It is definitely happy on your porch! It has grown so much more healthy so quickly!
いいね 1件Thank you it has one damaged leaf on the bottom and that happened inside but other than that I agree it’s doing well outside. My plants inside have a gnat problem though
