Never had this problem before, but what do you do about your cats getting into your plants. My kitten has chewed off two leaves of my one string pothos⊠she is so good and then all of a sudden she acts so bad and chews. I am not in a position where I can hang it nor move it to another location due to not having enough light in other rooms. Any ideas?

My succulents werenât getting enough light so I got a grow light, Iâm wondering how long I should have it on for and when I should have it on, and if I have a grow light on it would the environment be considered like a full sun environment or like part sun environment in the window or what?

This corn plant has been in the family for like 20 years. On my first move it nearly fried in the uhaul and lost most of its bottom leaves. During my last move one of them snapped in half, but I noticed today 3 new little growth points near the cut end. Look at her thrive!

When I first started in the hobby a couple years ago, I paid top dollar for this monstera deliciosa albo as a small rooted cutting. It is about 2â tall now and a new leaf is coming soon as you can see. Itâs one single tall stem. My concern is that Iâd like it to be more bushy and full, not long like it is. Plus the lower leaves are ugly and have had to be trimmed due to browning of the white. This plant likes to throw half moons. Would you prune and propagate this and replant in the pot? Would you do two cuttings, top and middle? Or simply chop it in half and prop the top to replant in the pot. Any advice greatly appreciated. I would wait and do this probably in March.

Picked up at Kroger today. Anybody know what it is? Thinking itâs an alocasia/elephant ear of some sort. TIA! đ±

This is the plant that gave me SO MUCH HEADACHE this summer. Huge thrips infestation that ultimately impacted SO MANY of my plants. Sheâs thriving now.
But who can tell me what the big, yellowish thing is. There are at least two more (smaller). Not worried, just curious, as they seem a part of the root system.

question of the day: what do you do as soon as you get home with a new plant?

Iâm not usually a fan of viney plants, but found this pothos in the as-is section of IKEA this morning for $5, so figured Iâd try to save it. I also found these cute little glasses there for $1 each. Iâm going to use these try out their Odla pellets with some of my smaller plants.

Anyone have an idea of whatâs going on with my syngonium podophyllum? Iâve had it for a few months now and Iâm new to house plants. Itâs not really thriving and just looks poor to be honest.

Inexperienced planter here.. I didnât notice that my monstera had rooted. It looks like the bottom is dead. Iâm assuming I canât propagate it anymore. Should I just trim off the root?

Does anyone keep plants in their basement? I live in Michigan and am trying to liven up my basement space. I have 10+ houseplants I keep upstairs and it improves the mood so much. The basement is just a bit drafty, and the windows let in some light- but not much.
Would I just be setting the plant up for a quick death? Any thoughts or ideas that have worked?

I asked for 1 money tree for Christmas and I got 2 money trees and like 7 other plants! Iâm a beginner and Iâm afraid theyâre all gonna die before I can figure out how to take care of them. My living room has 4 bug east facing windows so itâs a very sunny room but idk where I can put the âmedium lightâ plants to make them happy. Will they be too dry in the window sill? I need help understanding which parts of this room are good for lots of light, medium light and low light or if some donât have enough light at all. I marked the areas with colorful circles in case that helps.
