I asked for 1 money tree for Christmas and I got 2 money trees and like 7 other plants! I’m a beginner and I’m afraid they’re all gonna die before I can figure out how to take care of them. My living room has 4 bug east facing windows so it’s a very sunny room but idk where I can put the “medium light” plants to make them happy. Will they be too dry in the window sill? I need help understanding which parts of this room are good for lots of light, medium light and low light or if some don’t have enough light at all. I marked the areas with colorful circles in case that helps.

Aw that’s so sweet! My friends and family are afraid to get me plants because I “have too many” and they “don’t know which ones to get” 😂 I mean, they’re not wrong, but it would be super fun if someone surprised me with one of my wishlist plants Anyways, the fern will probably like being a bit further back in the room than everything else, but most will want a bit of direct light for a couple hours a day, in my opinion. Croton is very light loving, if I remember correctly, so it should like the windowsill with longer direct light periods. You’re right about dryness by the window. You’ll want to make sure the croton doesn’t get too dry and droopy too often. They’ll drop leaves if the soil dries up If you’re in the northern hemisphere, you probably aren’t getting nearly enough light these days for sun scorching. If you’re near-equator or Southern Hemisphere located, you can start with your plants further away from the windows and move them closer to the window over the course of 2-3 weeks so they can adjust. Probably not the fern though. I don’t know what the green maple leaf shape plant or the narrow leaf green and white one is though, so check their info incase my general recommendations don’t apply for them. I hope that helps ☺️

Thank you!! Haha if you have a wishlist don’t be shy! Let them know! I’m in Texas. The Croton is already starting to droop so I’m not sure if it’s from too much direct sun or from dryness. The app says it prefers sunny but not direct sun all day and says don’t over water it and let it get a little dry but I’m not sure which is causing it to droop lol.

Hmm yeah you’re probably not struggling with low light as much in Texas as I am in New Hampshire lol. What’s the soil like? You can include a picture if you want
