I currently have a flamingo lily in a mason jar, i had to prune a bunch of leaves because many were brown, but i do not want to lose it😅 and i also plan to put my peace lily in water if i can, so anything i should know please do tell😫😫
Super basic watering questions from a newbie! I'm new to houseplants and I want to know how people water their plants. Like, logistically. 😆 Do you take the water to the plants, with a watering can? Or do you bring the plants to the sink? If you use a watering can, what do you do about the extra water that drains out of the pot into the saucer? Do you dump it into a bucket or something? What about really big plants? How do you get the water out of the saucer if the plant is too big to easily lift? How much time does it take to water all your plants? Tell me how you water your plants, please! 🙏 (These feel like kind of silly questions, but I also know there are people who don't know how to pick up a cat or hold a baby. Everyone's a beginner at something!)
I have many variegated plants and noticed they are not doing that well in the winter. Our house is 62 at night. So here is my greenhouse solution with a heat mat to keep it at 70. I hope they like it! I am waiting to see if I need a humidifier if there is water in the tray. We will see what happens.
I repotted my first plant last year using this soil, and I’ve been using it ever since. I’ve seen a lot of posts on this app about well-draining soil and I don’t think this qualifies. I think it’s easier to overwater when a plant is in this soil. Does anyone have experience using this? Is there better quality all-purpose soil out there? Other suggestions?
Hi there! I recently picked up these clippings from a local plant shop and have no idea what it is. Can anyone help? They weren’t labeled and I can’t find exactly what it is through planta. Please help! 🌱
Hi all, this plant was sold as a pickle plant…but it is not (according to the photos I’ve seen online). Does anyone know what this is called? The closest thing I could find on the internet is an Eve’s needle cactus.

What do I do with this leaf on my African Violet? Leave it or cut off?
I found this plant on the shelf at Target, with no roots and totally dried out on the bottom. Can anyone tell me what this plant is? Thanks in advance.
Hello! I’m new here, and new to being a plant dad lol. I have a plant that I’m trying to save, I brought it from my mom’s house whilst she’s away in Honduras, no one was taking care of it for her and it was completely dry. I brought it home to see if I can save it, I am unsure on what to do.. I think I may have overwatered it. What else can I do to save it? I’ve thought about repotting it because the soil is quite a few years old, and I think it may benefit from being in a bigger pot? I’m open to any advice, thank you much!

Hi everyone, I bought this Monstera plant last fall and been having issues with the leaves drooping, the leaf turning dry and kinda crispy?! I'm not sure the term for this! I diagnosed with Planta and they think my plant did not get enough light and possibly underwatered hence the drying leaves. I immediately bought plant light for her and been using it for 2 weeks. I think it has improved? I'm not sure, also I would like to cut off these leaves on the pictures I attached, will that be a problem? And as for the peace lily, I have it for 3 years why does it droops so much? In the summer time, it does flower though.. Did I not give enough water? Was it problem with humidity? My place is too cold? I have never repot it because did not notice any roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. TIA for the help and input.
Help! My Ginseng Ficus has unknown ash/mold. I’ve had three Ginseng ficus on my patio for months. However, the one pictured below started shedding leaves few months ago and now is completely dry. It’s also developing a mold. How do I fix this? Please help. Should I also separate it from the other ficus plants? The others are healthy and doing well.
hello! my roomie got aglaonema starter plugs last month. this is an old picture from 2 weeks ago when we last watered it (haven't watered it since because the soil was still wet 2 inches down). today, we noticed fungus gnats crawling around in the soil and were very confused. our room RARELY gets bugs. is this a problem with the soil we purchased or did the plant attract these in? if so, how can we get rid of them? we have yellow sticky paper but it seems the gnats completely ignore it. we'd repot it but we are worried it's the soil mix we bought. help please!!!
