Trying to find each of my plants happy places and can’t figure out my pitcher plant. It lost its pitchers and I can’t seem to get it to grow more. Have had it in a few different locations and it just isn’t living its best life. I’m looking for any hints on how to make, my picture plant happy

Why is my Areca palm so brown? It’s brown and crispy on some of the leaves. When I brought it home it had a couple brown spots but it’s only getting worse. I have a humidifier and a grow light as it’s in a 50/50 spot about 3 metres from the windows. I’ve only had it for about two weeks, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated thanks

What kind of humidifier do you have for your living space to help control the air for your plants? I’m on Amazon searching for a good one.

The Hereafter

Is is too late for this Rosemary? Today my partner was saying it’s probably time to give up and throw it out, but I just set us up on Planta and I’m going to try to resuscitate. Do you think this is a worthwhile undertaking? Planta thinks it’s under watered, which might be the case, but apparently she had been pretty on top of the watering. The soil was very dry but it’s definitely still quite wet a half hour after watering.

She was fine last week and now she is drooping like crazy. She’s been watered and misted on schedule and soil is not to wet. Help!

Hi all, Can someone tell me why some of the tips of my zebra haworthia have turned red? 😰 I just noticed them today. I don’t water until completely dry. The only thing different is the addition of a cool mist humidifier about a foot away from my plant stand. Could that be affecting it?

I went to The Leaf here in Winnipeg, Canada which is a new tropical indoor oasis in our town (I think it is a year or so since it opened). The fact it is was -35 C or -31 F when we arrived made walking around looking at giant palm, calathea, and banana trees etc pretty surreal but you only had to look up to see all the windows completely frosted over to remember where we really were. Not a fun place to leave when it’s that cold outside. It was nice to see so many things blooming and all the gorgeous greenery. The first picture is the view as I stepped outside back into the deep freeze.

I can’t for the life of me figure out what plant this is — Planta doesn’t seem to list it in the results when I search. It’s clearly not doing very well. Any advice? Root rot?

Beginner’s cry for help! Planta can’t seem to identify this one correctly — maybe it’s a Palm Lilly? — and it’s clearly not doing very well — above all, the leaves are losing their color and starting to shrivel. I water it every 14 days and it’s outside in a humid environment between 70 and 80F every day. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, this is going to be a beginners cry for any help/ advice. Yesterday I received a lemon tree for my birthday. She appears to already have lemon buds growing. Now I am dedicated to the cause but I’ve never had a plant of any kind. So I’m already running before I can walk. Does anyone have any pro tips on what stage this plant is at or what I need to be doing to make sure I don’t kill these babies. I need to repot it, that’s for sure (Again, I’m clueless on when I need to do this) but I did put a grow light today, hopefully that helps. Thank you šŸ‹šŸ’›

I have a beloved Yucca Elephantipes that used to belong to my favorite uncle who passed a few years ago, so the plant means a lot to me. He’s grown pretty tall and bushy over the years and is too big and heavy to move inside but right now in central Texas we’ve got a cold snap with below freezing temps for multiple days! 🄶 I’m so worried about him I’ve wrapped his pot in two blankets, put a frost cover over him, then set up a pop up greenhouse tent over him. I strung some old school Christmas lights in there because they give off heat and managed to convince my husband to let me put his new heater in there. lol! He won’t let me keep the heater on over night for safety purposes and I totally understand but I’m just hoping all of this is enough to keep him from dying. Without the heater it will get to about 20 degrees in there overnight. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

So this fiddle leaf died recently. All the leaves fell off and this was left. It died very shortly after repotting and fresh soil. I almost trashed the whole thing but I looked today and there’s a new something at the bottom. What should I do??

I just repotted my plants into a bigger container with new potting soil, should I immediately give it a full watering or a little bit of water?

Hey friends! I have this polka dot plant, and I’ve had it maybe a month. I have it in a pretty small nursery pot because the root ball isn’t all that big. My question is why do the roots keep growing straight down, instead of wrapping around the pot? About a week ago, I pulled it out of the pot and raised it up a bit due to the roots poking out of the bottom. And a week later (today) there are more roots sticking out of the bottom. Being in a clear pot I am able to see the roots and they are just growing straight down. What would cause this? And what should I do? I feel going up in pot size won’t help the problem, and this isn’t enough roots to justify it. I do have it on a pebble tray, could this be why?

Another question. This is a Peperomia Marble that I just got about 4 hrs ago. I had to take the bus home and she got exposed to about 8degreeF weather for a total of 10 minutes maybe. Is she dying on me??? I would understand why . What should I do? First pic is taking her home, second is now
